okay, who will you say killed Jesus Christ?

the chief priests, scribes and elders of Israel? who planned it?

or is it the whole of Israel for supporting? chanting "crucify him?"
.
or is it the soldiers who flogged and nailed him to the cross?
.
or should we say the Father? God himself? Jehovah who sent him?
.
or the world? for being the reason for his coming?

The soldier who pierced him by the side.

Nobody killed him

All of those who have a hand in his death would have a special place in heaven. Because Christians are made to believe he came to die for their sins. At least, those that made that happen deserve special recognition.

in a perfect world Jesus was supposed to come to earth live an example life for men to follow then lie down and die.The weight of the grief of His Father's abandonment was to be his official cause of death (ironically it still was,since Jesus died way earlier on the cross than the two thieves also crucified by his side.the thieves had to have their legs broken to quicken their death.but when they got to Jesus He was dead already)
the cruelity of the crucifixion was only permitted as a demonstration to angels and men of the true nature of Satan and to lay bare satan's emotions against the Son of God.
Technically the whole world has the blood of Christ on its hands since He came to die for all. (everyone understands this in Revelation when Christ returns and everyone calls for the rocks to fall on them and hide them from the "wrath of the Lamb" { Rev. 6:16 } in other words The Lamb That was slain,the sacrifice. )
yet God has made distinctions and levels of guilt in the crime of the murder of His Son. the most in trouble being Judas Iscariot for whom it "will be better if he hadnt been born". his role as the snitch set in motion the events of the crucifixion weekend.
next in line are the Pharisees and Saducces who as the Spiritual Leaders were suppossed to know the time of prophecy and be the ones waiting at the stable for the baby Jesus. it was an embarrasment to God that the keepers of His own prophecies didnt see prophecy fulfilled and instead men from far away lands, the Wise Men of the East who didnt even have the full scriptures used the little knowledge they had to track down and pin-point the location of the manger with the baby Saviour.
the 12 desciples had to be Jesus' helpers when in effect the Pharisees could have taken up that duty and using the influence they had on the people inspired them to recieve Jesus as the Promised Messiah. but they turned out to be his greatest organized resistance who did the dirty work of satan up to planning and executing the arrest and subsequent crucifixion of Jesus.
next is the general population of Israel who not only bit the hand that fed them but even chose a robber (barabas) over the Man who once fed them fishes,healed their sick and raised their dead.
but Jesus loved Pilate.that ignorant ruler was about to be caught up in the biggest screw-up of all time.the murder of a God. in mercy since the Roman knew nothing of jewish prophecies,God the Father set to make a path for him out of this dilemma.in a dream from God, Pilate's wife saw the innocence of Jesus and the coming tribulations and repurcusions for whatever was about to be done to Him.the wife sent Pilate the message advising him to walk away from this mess. but before Pilate could really work out his disengagement from the trial of Jesus the witty Priests touched his weak point."if u dont release barrabas and destroy Jesus you are not a friend of Ceasar". and just like that Pilate had to yield Jesus to the murderous wishes of the Priests.he didnt want to be seen to be disloyal to his king back in Rome. still Jesus tried to strenthen his hand "he who delivered me to you has the greater sin". thou finally Pilate washed his hands of the murder of Jesus he really still remained guilty coz he didnt employ the power of the army and the law available to him to save the life of an innocent man.so a special guilt also rests on his head.
when we read of the crucifixion story we see it as a sacrifice,but its REALLY A MURDER THAT WAS TURNED FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD. thats why the Bible says Satan was a murderer from the beginning ( John 8:44) perhaps above Judas Iscariot Satan carries the heaviest guilt for the death of Christ.
