my first pre-match analysis thread and we marauded Villa like they were some  ''Championship side doomed for relegation''  grin
and to think that Drogba sat on the bench for the whole 90minutes.

Chelsea without Drogba rely less on the long hopeless balls trying to find Drogba which Villa woulda defended well today.
The fluidity Anelka brings with incisive passing and vision are world class.
Without Drogba during the ACN, how many points did Chelsea drop?

Isn't it obvious Chelsea is a better team without Drogba?His absence brings about the needed flair to make CA's tactics work.i.e no lobbing and thrusting of the ball to a tact-less lone striker who either gets lucky with his first touch and create something,or messes up big time when not given space and time to take that all important second touch.

You only need to look at Chelsea's performances when he was away for the ACN.

It's such a strange position Chelsea have found themselves in. .
How do you justify selling a player that's scored 32 goals already this season. ?

However as a big team looking to win all competitions, we should not be cursing if we have to sell a big player.

With drogba i think we would still play and win that game but certainly not that amount of goals. There is so much trust in drogba that sometimes it becomes a problem for us as we end up rellying on him. and with a game that cuts supply to drogba, he can only struggle this much to get the ball with him on a goal scoring point.
