Google has revealed how it makes personalized battery life prediction which can help you manage the use of phone battery.

Battery is a very unique specification of every smartphone. Seeing our battery more durable is a great joy.


Google is now tweaking a personalized battery life estimation pattern with a little bit of machine learning. It now builds a pattern of your previous usage which will be used to predict your future usage. It examines your usage patterns on similar days and times to determine how much battery you’ll be using the rest of the day. If you always watch Netflix or listen to a podcast on the ride home, it now knows to expect that and can adjust its estimated battery life accordingly.

So are they going to create an app for it, or include it in the next Android updates?

For now, it's only available to Pixel 2 and Nexus 6 smartphones running on the latest Android 8.1
