Gbenga Adeyinka has apologised to Nigerians for posting a false claim that veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala was dead.

Recall that the Popular Nigerian comedian, earlier yesterday, shared a photo of the aged veteran comedian and wrote;

AN ICON IS GONE.. WE LOST HIM What a Great Loss !!! THE ACE COMEDIAN
MOST SENIOR APOSTLE . MOSES ADEJUMO Popularly Known As
BABA SALA Died 3 hours ago.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

He has issued an apology on his Instagram page where he had earlier made the untrue claim.

“Good evening please DISREGARD the news of Baba Sala’s demise. The source has since recanted. So sorry for the misinformation.

“Feeling very stupid that I just took his word for it. Sorry again,”

This is just after one of Baba Sala’s sons, Emanuel Adejumo, had dismissed the story as false.

He said

“It is not true that Baba is dead. He is alive and he doesn’t even have a stroke.

“I don’t know where those peddling the death rumour got it from.”

People are always eager and very fast, wanting to be the first to break bad news and very slow and unwilling to tell the world a good news. Tell them how successful you are and see how they'd snub you but tell them how poor, misery and broke you are, you'd be surprised how fast the news will travel.

That is what I always say on these forum. There is no journalist that do thorough investigations in Nigeria before rushing to the press . They are just hear say and copy cat.
