The procedures of company registration in Nigeria


The main purpose of this article is to teach and guide business owners the right/legit steps to take when registering their company names in Nigeria using CAC (cooperate affairs commission) if you reside in either Abuja or Lagos Nigeria you are lucky and it's easy to get started. however, It is a must to register your business name if you want to run a legal business.
Let’s begin…

The limited liability company takes the following steps:
1. The suggestion of the proposed name which is to be submitted to corporate affairs commission (CAC) for search popularly known as Availability search. This will help to know if the name is available for registration or it’s already registered for another user entirely.

Note: it takes around a week or 3 days to detect that the availability is already used or available to be used.
If the name is available then it gives way for printing of articles and memorandum of association, which will contain the name and address of the company and its objectives and it, will also contain names of Directors and numbers of shares allocated to each director that will amount to the total numbers of shares to be registered.
2. A set of CAC (CORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMISsION) forms has to be obtained from CAC website for filling and after that, the memorandum and articles of association have to be submitted together with form co7 for proper stamping through federal Inland Revenue, stamp duty office.
3. When this is done, the entire documents are to be submitted to corporate affairs commission (CAC) for onward processing and registration.
4. The certificate of incorporation has to be signed and issued to the owner after two weeks.
