The vice President of the Republic of Nigeria, professor Yemi osinbajo yesterday flags off SMSE Clinic in osun state. This is a programme put up to assist the small and medium scale business owners in the state.


The programme which took place at the Nelson Mandela freedom park osogbo had a lot of personalities in attendance such as traditional rulers, stakeholders, politicians, SMSE owners.Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori. Also is the Representative of NAFDAC, Mrs Yedunni Adenuga, Representative of the Bank of Industry, Mrs Abimbola Soyode and Mrs Toyin Idowu from the Standards Organization of Nigeria, Members of the Federal Executive Council, Members of the Osun Executive Council among others. According to report, the Same programme is said to have been held in 9 states already and Osun state yesterday joined the success train. Men and women were not left out as they grace the occasion with their presence. Alongside is the display of exhibited products by several SMSE groups in Osun state.

However, the programme began in full at 11:30, as dignitaries arrived at the arena, during this time the Osun state cultural troops were busy entertaining the invited guests. Not long, the representatives of partnering agencies addresses the audience on the importance of seeking their support in their respective small and medium scale enterprises. They told them to join the programme as it will be of great value to them.

At the juncture, reasons for calling it a political strategy is not far fetched. On my way back home, I overheard some people say the Commissioning of the SMSE Clinic in Osun state is a campaign strategy by the APC members in the state against 2019 election. One of them said he's not sure if the programme will still be effective after the 2019. From the ways and manners they buttresses their points, I could deduce they were members of the other political parties in the state. It's therefore not wrong to say strategies that enhances the well-being of the people should be incorporated into other political parties.
