Roman catholic holds it strong that they are the orthodox church. In the past they were so powerful that not even the United Nations is as such. Their influence cut across Europe and America. And with the Roman Inquisitive they could judge any doctrinal issues. The Roman Inquisitive was such a very deadly and fearful 'supreme court'. There were cases when they judged even the dead, if convicted with a belief or doctrine not compatible with their own established doctrine, they dug up remains of the dead and burnt it as a punishment. There was this famous case with the renowned scientist and astronomer Galileo Galilei. Galileo through his telescope found out and believed that the Earth and other planets revolved around the Sun, this did not augur well with the Roman Catholic belief that the Earth was the centre and other planets rotated around it so they termed Galileo's idea a heresy. Galileo was called up before the Roman Inquisitive, he was so afraid to face such a deadly Inquisitive that his body was shivering while reading his script denouncing the idea before the court. After reading the letter he was said to be struck in the conscience for denying such a truth, so he mumbled "Yet it still moves", that is the earth still moves around the earth even though he was forced to denounce the idea. Till today Galileo is known for that statement "Yet it still moves". Even though Galileo out of fear denounced the idea, the Inquisitive sentenced him to life imprisonment in the form of house arrest with the care of his only daughter, he lost his sight and later died because of poor care. It was years after Roman Catholic killed Galileo that it was proved without reasonable doubt the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way round. So Galileo was right and Roman Catholic was wrong! So what i am trying to say with the story? i want to say that being an orthodox does not mean having true faith or belief. If the whole world believed in lie and one person believed in truth, then only that one person was right. Roman Catholic introduced so many things into Christianity like daily prayer of repentance, the idea that if a church member dies even with sin they can gather together for him after death and pray for the person to make heaven. So Roman Catholic has done more harm than good to Christianity because of their powerful influence in Christendom. MY original question is what is the gospel the disciples of Jesus, the apostles and the early church believed and preached? It was no other than the gospel of water and Spirit. Jesus told Nicodemus unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter the Kingdom of God ( John 3:5 ). and in 1 John 5:6 "This is He who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ not by water only but by water and blood. It is the Spirit that bears witness because the Spirit is truth". The only way to enter heaven is to be born of water and Spirit and no other way. In the early church time the only church commemoration was 'January 6th' as the 'Day of Jesus Baptism'. It was replaced by Easter and Christmas. Celebrating Easter and Christmas is not bad anyway but why did they remove 'Day of Jesus Baptism'? Christians nowadays do not regard Jesus baptism anymore but it is an indispensable element of our salvation. It was through His baptism by John the Baptist in the Jordan River that our sins were transferred to His body and He carried the sins to the Cross and shed His blood for us. Is this biblical? Yes, it is. Please I would like you to download and read this book for details and in-dept biblical explanation and proof of this and see all the evils Roman Catholic has done to Christianity. I ask you to read the book with your Bible. Just click on the link below to download instantly.
