Atiku Best Suited As PDP Presidential Candidate - Ojo by agwom(m): 4:17am On Dec 05, 2017 |
The National Coordinator of Yoruba Youth Alliance, Chief Jackson Lekan Ojo, has said ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar remains the best bet of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for winning the 2019 presidential election. Speaking with Daily Trust in Abuja, Ojo, who is also a security expert, said he would campaign for the Wazirin Adamawa if he came out to run for president. “It will be the best bet for PDP if Atiku wins the presidential ticket of the party because there is no better political tactician or strategist in the PDP than Atiku,” he said. He added that Atiku had the capacity to create wealth, saying Nigerians would go for him instead of President Muhammadu Buhari who allegedly caused so much poverty in the land. “There is no power of incumbency in Nigeria now. Jonathan was incumbent, yet he was defeated by Buhari whom Nigerians trusted he would offer them a better deal but he has failed. “He has only succeeded in creating poverty. In so many African countries, incumbent presidents have been defeated so everybody should know that Nigerian voters are wiser now and they don’t believe in the power of incumbency. “They would be voting for candidates and not political parties, so the issue of which party Atiku belongs to does not arise,” he said. Ojo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Osun State, said those who were castigating Atiku for dumping the APC for PDP did not understand Nigerian politics. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/atiku-best-suited-as-pdp-presidential-candidate-ojo.html 1 Like |

yarimo:Atiku will contest the primaries like he did in APC. If he wins he becomes the candidate else he will provide support for whosoever is the PDP candidate. Bottomline, APC/Buhari are very jittery right now! 1 Like |
