This video footage of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) operatives beating a man to stupor in an undisclosed location, has gone viral online.



The video which was shared on Instagram by an online user, has sparked outrage among users.
In the video, the operatives can be seen assaulting an unidentified civilian, using sticks, plastic kegs to hurt him.
A concerned passer-by appealed to the SARS operatives to stop the act but got slapped by the officers, asking him: ‘wetin concern you’.

This is one of many cases as the operatives are known for their cruelty.
The Inspector General of police, Ibrahim Idris, yesterday, ordered the immediate the re-organisation of the SARS program.
Many hope it will yield results.
