Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman, the All Progressives Congress has assured members of the party that the exit of former Vice- President Atiku Abubakar from it will not affect it in anyway.

He gave the assurance on Tuesday in Abuja when the Association of Former Chairmen, Councillors and Ward Leaders paid him a visit in Abuja.

The APC national chairman further assured that Atiku’s exit from the party would not lead to massive defection from APC as being insinuated in some quarters in the country.

“Let nobody fear that the defection of the former Vice President is going to lead to any deluge.

“Don’t ever be afraid that there is going to be any massive defection.

"As a matter of fact, the contrary is the case, APC is growing in strength on a daily basis,“ he said.

Odigie-Oyegun called on members of the association not to be deceived by; “ the screaming and opposition rhetoric“, adding that everybody that mattered in the country, politically, was a member of APC.

He maintained that there was no other party that was truly settled outside APC, adding that even the Peoples` Democratic Party (PDP) was not stable because it was still fighting to get a chairman.

Oh I see, lets us wait and see the outcome since Nigerians will be the ones to decide come 2019.Bt as far governance is concerned the APC is a disaster and have proven to be worse than the PDP,all the electoral promises made by the APC were either disowned by them or cancelled entirely.Propaganda won't work anymore like it did in 2015 because Nigerians ve seen that u guys ve nothing to offer.. A "corrupt" Atiku even though he is yet to be convicted by any law court is a million times better than a Jekyll and Hyde personality of Buhari,he claims to abhor corruption in public yet his body language, and action show someone that likes it and his associates even swim and revel in it...

The man Buhari isn't just fit to be president,an ordinary LGA would still be difficult for him to manage as well then how much more when the responsibilities of a whole nation are thrust upon this individual ?I can't just wait for the roforofo fight to start in earnest.

Atiku's exit from the party is just a catalyst that will cause a chain reaction that will affect APC. Watch how more people will defect.

Atiku's defection is just the beginning. By this time next year when three quarters of APC zombies must have had their brains atikulated not even Tinubu will be able to withstand the tsunami that will sweep the asorock dulllard back to his animal farm in daura.

A good party chairman would have said he would look into the issues Atiku raised and address them

Not when the issues raised is just a smokescreen to cover the real issue - Atiku simply seeks to further his presidential ambition and he knows that it's 2019 or never. As PMB is likely to get the APC ticket in 2019, the only logical thing for Atiku is to shop elsewhere.

Forget all those nonsense he said. He's been saying same anytime he changes party.

Because everyone in PDP and anti-APC is talking about it, so the APC needs to reassure its members that "nothing dey happen".

The reverse Oyegun statement is actually the case. Nigeria politicians that are political prostitute cross carpeting from one party to the other because they lack morals.
