pls which wallet is safe for storing bitcoins.
i read about blockchain and electrum.
how do we set up electrum.
i downloaded it on my laptop
but says linux error
install somryhing.
i do not want to use blockchain
can blockchain be hacked when u use all the 2fa codes and second password.
which is safer cause i want to buy some 500$ btc

If it's on your phone, use Mycelium, GreenAddress

On your system use Electrum, Multibit, etc

If you want better security then use a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor.

what is yhe bad side of it.i mean if u loose your hard ware.does it mean u lost your btc.

There are people that sell it on Nairaland.
Check the e-currency thread on the business section.

If you lose your wallet you can still access your bitcoin on any wallet that supports BIP 39.
You just have to save the 12 or 24 word phrase you're given safe.
With it you can restore your bitcoin wallet on any other wallet, even without the hardware device.
Without it your bitcoin is gone forever and there's nothing nobody in the world can do about it.

Blockchain.info is poorly written and lacks advanced features other wallets have.
