The electoral commission, INEC, has registered 21 new parties. This was made known in a statement by May Agbmuche-Mbu. The new registrations bring the total number of parties in Nigeria to 67.

PRESS STATEMENT

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) held its usual weekly meeting today and took decisions on the registration of new political parties, the findings on the allegation of double registration by the Governor of Kogi State and the outstanding Anambra Central Senatorial re-run election.

The following associations have fulfilled the Constitutional requirements for registration as political parties:

Which one be All blending party?The nigerian political system is a joke.All these one's that cannot fund themselves not to talk of funding a campaign.Truth is Nigeria is not a multi party state,it is a two party state.

All Blender's Party??! O.k. Now, I want to register my very own party: How about NSIP[National Stomach Infrastructure Party]? Every saturday,we will make it a point of duty to share bread,akara and roasted plantain to the "less-privileged" that way,we secure their votes. I am yet to decide on a party logo but I think two bags of rice with a scrawny guy dragging them along will make sense. Off to the INEC office...
