The victim of Monkey Pox from Gboko who was admitted at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, BSUTH has been successfully treated and discharged. Director of Public Health, Benue State Ministry of Health, Dr Jonathan Terna Kur confirmed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria, Harvest FM in Makurdi He assured that she was no longer infectious to members of the public, adding that there is no other case of Monkey-Pox in the State. The Public Health Director commended the quick action of members of the public who reported the case and sued for sustenance of the spirit by availing the government necessary information for prompt response. According to Doctor Kur, the Ministry of Health has already urged the local government councils to report any suspected case of outbreak of disease for intervention and thanked the media for it's role in sensitizing the public about the Monkey Pox.
