Twenty seven members of the terror-gang, Sara-Suka, have been arrested in connection with an attack and robbery of residents of Badarawa in Kaduna on Saturday.

Daily Trust recalls that youth in their hundreds on Saturday attacked residents of Badarawa area of Kaduna state with dangerous weapons.

The youth, popularly called the ‘yan Shara’ meaning sweepers, attacked traders and commuters at the popular Katuru road, stabbing and seizing mobile phones and money from any person they came across.

The Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Command, ASP Muktar Aliyu who confirmed the arrest yesterday said the youth were arrested following a tip-off.

He said: "The Divisional Police Officer of Malali division quickly moved to the scene on Saturday and was able to arrest 27 members of the gang between Saturday and Sunday following tip-off from members of the community."

He disclosed that investigations has commenced into the matter to ascertain the reason behind the attack and robbery saying, the suspects will be charged to court after the outcome of the investigation.

He assured that the Commission of Police has resolved to leave no stone unturned to ensure safety of lives and property in the state.
