Mahuta, took to his social media page to share how he saw two cars patiently waiting for the traffic lights at 2.30 am despite being the only cars on the highway.

Abdullahi said he remembered Nigeria when he saw the cars waiting at the traffic.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

It's 2:30 am here. I just looked through my window, then I saw these two cars waiting for the traffic lights to give them the green light. Then I remembered my country Nigeria and asked myself :

When will we get to this level of maturity and discipline?

Our political actors travel out of the country all the time and they see how organized and orderly these places re ,they even behave themselves and partake in the orderliness of things when sojourning there bt once they get to the international airport in Nigeria on arrival they start their madness of flagrantly disobeying rules and laws of the land.It sure sucks being a Nigerian where politicians re demigods..

You bunch of mediocre performing lawmakers and breakers, governors and Buhari himself travels out of the country and see a lot of things work, but back here in Nigeria, you won't try and replicate some of the good developments seen over there.

So because he is aboki, people won't obey traffic lights?

Getting there is simple.

With the aid of simple technology.

1. FUNCTIONAL DATABASE OF REGISTERED CARS AND OWNERS

2. FUNCTIONAL CAMERA.

Jumping traffic light is already an offence in Nigeria traffic codes, I suppose.

It is not maturity per se, its proper law enforcement system. You will be caught on camera if you bit the light and traced through your car registration number. What happened to the billions spent on CCTV camera and why has the probe died a natural death? What of the Billions on the National Identity Management system and the billions embezzled thereat? And you think without a national identity database, you can enforce traffic laws? You see, we just admire and say kworofshon or discipline and maturity. There are basic things that will make it happen

sir, good you noticed and saw the high level of discipline in Jordan.... change starts with you when you obey the rule of law and represent your constituency well by providing your people better life and amenities.....rather than discuss who should wear hijab or not in the state you represent.

There will be maturity and discipline, when people in your position show good example.

Start first, when you stop using siren vans driven by reckless armed escorts

Let's place a bet. In 2070, Nigerians will still be complaining of bad government. Do you know why? Where does the government come from? All governments all over the world come from the people. Read up the definition of DEMOCRACY and you will understand what i am talking about. So, if the people are bad, the leaders you select from within you will also be bad and that's a fact. Nigerians are generally bad and there is no way you can select a good person in that kind of environment. Even if eventually one good leader is found, the overwhelming number of bad people in Nigeria will find a way to push him/her aside or worse kill him/her. The problem is not the government. The problem in Nigeria is the citizenry. This is why someone like Atiku has the nerve to even think about running for the presidency. He knows that bad people will always want a bad person to lead them.

Re: Abdullahi Mahuta Shares His Jordan Trip Experience (Photos) by Chukazu: 11:54am On Dec 19, 2017
Have always thought of this...

If one is driving alone Lagos-Benin Express way and got to "Benin- bypass" at around 2-3am midnight ...can one ever stop there and observe traffic lights? undecided undecided

...if arm robbers no go take you do pepper soup embarassed

The most lawless sets of people in Nigeria are actually the "custodians of the law" e.g , Nigerian police,Custom and Military men.

At any traffic pass it's usually a man in uniform that would drive one way againt traffic, because he believes he is above the law and highly ranked connected than the rest of us...

Did you say you are a law maker from Nigeria? My question to you is: If you are in Nigeria, Do you obey traffic light at any time of the day. I mean you personally. Law makers in Nigeria are the worst law breakers in Nigeria but when they go outside they obey other country's laws. Shame! Shame!!

Exactly what I was going to say, these people think good things just keep happening in other places without proper structures. When you know there's a good chance you will get sanctioned whether or not an official is physically present, why will you not behave?

Maturity n discipline in Nigeriar begins with u,Mr Honourable.

No, it begins with me. It begins with you. It begins with everybody.

The people in those cars aren't the Honorables in Jordan but ordinary citizens like you and I. Waiting for government to do what we have to do is sheer laziness and unserious attitude to change, legality and what's morally right.

Do your own part. I do part and majority would have already been doing the right things, after all we have less than 500 Honorables in Abuja while the ordinary citizens are over 170 million.

When he and his fellow leaders looters stop receiving bogus salaries, stealing our money while we lament hopelessly on nairaland etc without doing anything.

It is you LAWMAKERS who are LAWBREAKERS in our country. You leaders are the Problems we have in this country so far.

When your ESCORTS go out with you or coming to pick you somewhere, they committed a lot of TRAFFIC CRIME because they are working with OGA @ the TOP. But you people fail to live by EXAMPLE, that is why we are where we are today. DRIVING AGAINST TRAFFIC, BLOWING SIREN ANYHOW, BATCHING PEOPLES VEHICLES, RECKLESS DRIVING ETC.

Infact, we do not need anything from this post other than to go and present it to your colleagues in the house so that you can do something to better the lives of the people of Nigeria.
