Many people would wonder where Nigeria stands in the US vs Un saga. It seems Nigeria is among the much who voted for the non recognition. If US carries out its threat what do we stand to lose. Remember that the UN is backboned by American whether we believe, like it or hate it.
Please I need constructive comment

The UN General Assembly on Thursday, December 21, adopted by a decisive vote of 128 to nine, with 35 abstentions, a motion rejecting the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
President Donald Trump had warned ahead of the vote in the 193-nation assembly that “we’re watching” and threatened reprisals against countries backing the measure, which reaffirms that the status of Jerusalem must be resolved through negotiations.
Seven countries — Guatemala, Honduras, Togo, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and the Marshall Islands — joined Israel and the United States in opposing the measure.
Among the 35 countries that abstained were Argentina, Australia, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Mexico, the Philippines, Romania and Rwanda.
US Vetoes UN Resolution Rejecting Donald Trump’s Jerusalem Decision
Ukraine, which supported the draft resolution at the Security Council, was among 21 countries that did not turn up for the vote.
The measure was sent to the General Assembly after it was vetoed by the United States at the Security Council on Monday, although all other 14 council members voted in favor.
“The United States will remember this day,” US Ambassador Nikki Haley told the assembly.
“America will put our embassy in Jerusalem,” Haley said. “No vote in the United Nations will make any difference on that.
“But this vote will make a difference on how Americans look at the UN and on how we look at countries who disrespect us in the UN,” she said.
“When we make generous contributions to the UN we also have a legitimate expectation that our goodwill is recognized and respected.”
While resolutions by the General Assembly are non-binding, a strong vote in support carries political weight.
Israel seized the largely-Arab eastern sector of Jerusalem during the 1967 Six-Day War and later annexed it, claiming both sides of the city as its “eternal and undivided capital.”
But the Palestinians want the eastern sector as the capital of their future state and fiercely oppose any Israeli attempt to extend sovereignty there.
Several UN resolutions call on Israel to withdraw from territory seized in 1967 and the resolution contains the same language as past motions adopted by the assembly. (AFP)

Africa we too mumu oh! we go cup in hand begging for US aid when you visit US you see ads, orgs etc sending huge aid packages to Africa and running ads urging citizens to send aid the Arabs don't do this Islamic nations don't do it as well.
Pls tell me why we chose to support the Arabs who traded and still trade us as slaves and keep maltreating migrants just google and see gory videos. As for Muslims mohammed himself called us "pug nosed raisin headed slaves" today muslims try to foolishly explain it as being just mere description niger ur prophet was racist. That is insulting as fork nothing can be more insulting like that insult has two batches.
Fork israel fork Palestine fork Arabs fork trump fork Jews fork mooslims but we need to be on americas side or on nobodies side judging from every countries foreign policy only america regards Africa look at USAid and many more like that, PRETEND AS WE MAY WE NEED IT.
Africans are treated as poo in all these other countries just a simple google search will help you guys Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere see Africans as sub humans yet we stick our necks out for them. We truly are dumb, fork us. We are first blackmen before mooslims or Jews but we can't see that we should chase our own agenda they gave us religion separated hausa into 3 countries yoruba into 3 countries etc and grouped 100+ tribes into one country this was done to make sure we don't grow and it's working very well tell me one african country that's 100% one religion except Islam apparently somalia and it's neighbours are 100% Islam bit have been at war for over 50+ years dumb forks.

Nigeria should have played the abstinence card but we have a brainless representative who voted as if we all are against America , as for me and the entire South East we stand with Israel and America.

Nigeria is now run by islamists and they carry islam matter on their head now. If it were to be be the days of Goodluck, we would have simply abstained like we always do. The fools we have now always relish the opportunity to let the world know that nigeria is an islamic state
