United states alone is stronger that all the whole countries that voted FOR.
HISTORY:
Why did the league of Nations failed ? during world war 1 which led to the formation of United Nation organization UNO and then later UN.
When Germany was defeated in ww1 , thier colonies in Africa was shared by the allied which includes Britain, france, italy, spain excluding USA because US has started practicing the policy of ISOLATIONISM ie excluding USA from world Affairs.
Germany was given a fine of $600,000,000 to pay and reduced thier army, then the Rhineland was also taken away from them. These all led to serious economic crisis and the Weimar republic was formed out of this crisis. This crisis led to the rise of a young corporal that fought in ww1 by name Adolf Hitler.
He contested and won the post of a chancellor. After becoming the chancellor he rebuilt the German army, took back the Rhineland and stopped the payment of the reparation then set up the Nazi philosophy:
1. The aryan race was the superior race.
2. Anti semetism
3.At age 14 every boy must enlist into the military. etc.

The allied sent an ultimatum to Germany but it was turned down.
All the Versailles treaty was turned down by Hitler, he annexed Austria~Hungarian empire. All these led to the break out of world war 2.
France was the first to fall under Hitler.
The whole allied forces combined where loosing the war , until Japan who was a triple entente member with Germany went and bomb Pearl Harbour, U.S naval base, this eventually provoked the U.S to abandon thier policy of ISOLATIONISM and entered into WW2 in the side of the allied forces.
A Jewish scientist deported from Germany by name Albert Einstein came up with the energy equation E=mcsquare which was used to manufacture the first Atomic bomb, that was dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this led to the defeat of Japan and the Allied after landing in Normandy smarched Hitler's army at that front and the red armies of Russia smarched the rest. These led to the end of WW2 just because U.S.A came in.
Conclusion, all those countries that voted for are all nothing without the U.S. So Jerusalem is isreal's capital.
All these things you are talking is past tense. Now the equation has changed. North Korea has developed an intercontinental ballistic missle with a nuclear war head that can finish USA. Today North Korea is the biggest threat of US and it's allies. USA no longer has the power they once had.

The daftus in chief in Aso rock never disappoints in decisions like this.
Tomorrow he will go to their US cap in hand begging for aids, weapons and purchase of our crude oil.

I don't think he's that daft to still think Trump's America is his friend. His fellow muslim brother (Barack Hussein Obama) is no longer in charge.

On the other hand, wise developing nations abstained from the vote, knowing the grave implications of such. In a matter like this, the wisest decision for the dullard would have been to abstain from the vote. But once a dullard, ever a dullard; hence his sheer display of stupidity through his UN representative.

Don't be deceived, US has fallen off the cliff. There are new world powers. Russia and China are there. US cannot do anything. The world has spoken. US and Israel are on their own.

Having stash of us dollars and giving people low life technology invention that will not take them anywhere like China cannot make u a world power or is it Russia that's battling with obsolete technology,a shrinking population and few money to spend will be world powers.China and co can only play second fiddle or try to be relevant but been a world power is no no thing for them.USA will be the last world power the world will ever know, because they have all it takes to hang to power.they control

World economy, the USA single handedly crashed the price of oil by making use of their shale oil reserve, they got the technology. The truth is that the UN resolution was uncalled for,USA is a sovereign state,UN should have been neutral in the whole issue.mind you most Arab nation doesn't recognize Israel as a nation but their was no resolution to that affect.

It was a wanton charade by UN. That election is a diplomatic misfire that should not have happened. U.S is a sovereign nation with right to move their capital and recognize any place in the world.

The vote against that decision is so useless that it will further show how weak UN has become. Nothing will happen to U.S and Israel. That decision of Trump stands.

America carries 22 percent of entire UN budget. If they withdraw that. UN will retrench staff for the first time in History. Humanitarian aid world over will feel the impact.

The vote was wrongly timed. Diplomatic reach out should have continued....see Nigeria wey dey beg U.S for military arms and support dey vote against them. Issoari

So we should start worshipping them because they fund budget? When they have the dumbest president.. You talk like the US can survive on its on without its Allies.. That's how they led revolt against Libya, Syria, Iraq.. What has become of this countries today? We can't follow blindly every decision they make.. That's why we have the power of Choice..

The UN has a long standing history of being a failed organization without the support of the U.S.A with both Human and material resources.
When they were called the League of Nations they failed and then metamorphosed to UNO and then UN.
It's not surprising that they will fail again on this one. Who among the UN that is not scared when U.S sneezes.

but what he said is true. Buhari is promoting his Islamic agenda on Nigeria. Nigeria should be a secular nation. It would have been wiser for him to just abstain
Yes oo! the over 100 countries that voted against including UK, Germany, France, Japan, Switzerland, South Africa, SKorea etc are also Islamic caliphates led by Islamists trying to promote their Islamic agenda.

Where has common sense really gone to?

Some of u ain't verse in international politics....

Gone are the days you will fear offending the US. Nigeria has started taking stands without fear of US backlash. We did it wen they pressured us for the gay law. If US withdraw their support...other world powers like Russia and China will gladly fill that space. The latter are even looking to grow their influence in Africa so its an opportunity they crave. Secondly Nigeria is a leader in Africa and any responsible member of the UN will condemn a move that will surely destabilise the region and disrupt the peace process. If uk, france, germany, Japan and Korea can oppose the us on this...it tells u a lot....y'all need to know the history of the issue to understand why the world is against the move. The CIA director under Obama called the move 'beyond outrageous'.- especially when the us threatened countries that planned to vote for the resolution.

The us under trump is acting as a rogue state and any responsible country will stand up to be counted in opposing it

I respect ur intellectual capability and analysis. All the useless comments have being reading shows many people are not versed in intl politics. In a world where China and Russia are ready to cement their influence and ties with many countries. They would be glad to fill in the space 90% of the aid US give is military aid and Russia / China would be happy to do that.

The era of US aggression and bullying is over, nations are ready to stand up against US barbaric act. The two-state solution remains.

And ever since they started giving us aid, how has it impacted the beneficiary? The aid has never represented any sincerity from the donor to help Its beneficiaries only to cement their political influence and extend their dominance.

The Palestinians are only playing the victim card here because they were overpowered by Israel, yet they are still bearing their fangs of terrorism with Hamas and other terrorist groups targeting Israel on daily basis. imagine if reverse was the case, Israel would have been bombed into extinction.

Israel's attack on Palestine is only reactionary.

I support your opinion, but my fear and the problem is that Russia cannot be trusted, and china has an issue of gross human rights abuse, not following international laws and principles and also is not democratic, and so my point is that while we are moving towards a post American domination, the alternatives are not better than what we have currently.

It would be a blessing for us. According to the Dependency Theory, the less we depend on core states, the more we would develop. You think these core states like America are doing us a favor by giving us aids? Of course, not. They are simply encouraging us to depend on them, thereby suppressing our chances of developing. It is a sort of neocolonialism that needs to stop soon for Nigeria to truly attain greatness.

I understand your point but we have more to lose at this point when we are fighting insurgents and our economy is in comatose.

Well the US has said it will withdraw aids to the countries that failed to support them and they will still go ahead to site their embassy in Jerusalem. Nigeria should have abstain instead of voting against the US. Canada wanted to for the US stand but chose to abstain cos they don't want to be seen as US puppet
