*The Descendants of Change (not a political term)* I was born here a day Grew up to know its name With little idea in disdain believing the term "we cannot be great again" I was part of the problem Did whatsoever I was pushed to, I was brainwashed but never knew They became matters They keep ruling occupying and taking space Making me look like a stranger in my own land I asked my Father why? He keep responding in fear "power belong to some persons" They covered the truth and made us fools No one was ready to fight for the oppress I realise a day, was ready to stand the gap Prison was my threat Tear gas my poison I became surrounded with special agents Not for protection but for death Who will take the step if i let it die? Yes they say, nothing come easy My passion keep pushing me It was my love for my country I finally realised I was enslaved I read, read and learn The solution was right there I became fearless I was never confused They were threatened, paid me to quench my taste I rejected, the passion in me was driving I begin to speak up I used my own weapon of war The social media and other things my generation own I stop believing in past leaders I am wise now I was never part of them I am of age some of there children So i stop believing in them We are modern they say I choose to do it the modern way We hold the key to the future they say I must not let that saying pass me by They say,the young shall grow Now we are here I believe in the now So let me decide myself i wil vote 2019 sir_darwin Dedicated to Fela Durotoye Dont forget to register your PVC @ http://pvc.inecnigeria.org 1 Like |
