Jigawa is the beautiful daughter of Kano which was mapped out of Kano state on the 27th Day Of August 1991 by General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. It is situated in North Western Nigeria bordered with Kano State, Katsina, Bauchi, and Yobe State. It also shares an international border with Zinder Region in The Republic of Niger, which is a unique opportunity for cross-border trading activities.

Dutse: is the capital of Jigawa state as well as the largest city [153,000 (2009)] in Jigawa followed by Hadejia, Gumel and Birnin Kudu. Dutse (Hausa term for rock) got its name from the rocky topography peculiar to the area. Different forms of rocks can be seen widely spread across the town. Mostly igneous in nature, the rocky town got its name from this naturally endowed resources. Dutse . It is a home for Date Trees (Dabino) of different variety.

You my friend knows that these pictures are just like a pin in an ocean.... Jigawa just like Kano are very big states in terms of landmass for these few projects to make an impact. What both states actually need is massive investment in compulsory education... Not the type presently been run on lips alone. You show all these glamore... You and I know the whole place is already desecrated by shiits by now.
In your other Kano thread I expected to see development in the financial hub (fagge) especially sabon gari, kofar ruwa, etal but non.... All I saw was kwankwasos flyover etc

Those pictures are 3 4 years old. Lamido transformed the state. This one Badaru is just here. No single project ongoing. At least he pays salaries and services the numerous debts left by Lamido

Emarates And Palaces

1. Hadejia Emirate: was a territory of Kano in the 15th century as confirmed by the Kano chronicle where it stated that during the reign of Yakubu (1452 to1463)

2. Kazaure Emirate: was created as a result of Dan Tunku’s revolt against Sarkin Kano Ibrahim Dabo.

3. Gumel Emirate: This Emirate founders and rulers were from Ngazargamu in present day Borno State.

4. Ringim Emirate: was a district of Kano emirate before the creation of Jigawa State. Since the early years of colonial rule it became closely associated with the family of Sarkin Kano Shehu

5. Dutse Emirate: Sarkin Kano Abubakar Burji conquered Dutse in 1450 and it became a territory of Kano.

Jigawa is a good state. I wish her well.
I served there and was treated well. I know the state very well. There are enormous human potentials in Jigawa though illiteracy and poverty are still the major problem. The government,in place there, are filled with corrupt elements just like those in others states in Nigeria. Majority of Jigawa people are suffering and are finding it difficult to cope with the current Economic downturn of Nigeria.
The pictures posted above are few selected pics from Dutse and some other areas and those pictures can only represent the beautiful part of Jigawa and not Jigawa itself and Mind you, those beautiful parts are small compare to what you see on daily basis moving from Hadejia to Nguru or Hadejia to Dutse or Kano. Or to Maigatari, Birninkudu etc.

Jigawa is still a baby state that is growing but when it comes to Kano pls shut up the red sense organ in your mouth.

What do you want to see apart from market and good road. If you want to see industries go to Sharada industrial layout, Chalawa, Maimalari.

Kano city alone is an 8 Local government area city.
You talk of flyover, the flyover you see is not even in Fagge. BTW where is your own flyover.

There is not a single state be it where you're living in Nigeria (with the exception of Lagos) that is up to comparison with Kano.

Pls if you're not Lagosian then your village state is not half as what Kano is.

Hana... Common we are not fighting... It's called communication and we are supposed to be civil and not d*ck measure after all the whole country is a huge slum....
I pointed out lack of development in the Christian areas like sabon gari and others and you went mentioning challawa and sharada... As if I don't know there and the number of coys there... You forgot to mention bompai area where u have the textile firms that are retired. What I am pointing out is no matter the amount of paint you paint Kano... Without proper education... All will go to ruins. No doubt kwankwaso did a couple of stuff but it didn't touch the part produces the bulk of Kano state tax which is fagge lga. Please don't rant again or I will not reply...
PS... All states are just glorified villages in Nigeria...

What you should be concern about is my message. Buhari has nothing to do with Lamido.

My argument is about the Dr tonye add to his name. Dr is for PhD holders. (Dr) in bracket can be used instead.

Thank you for pointing that out to the op. The guy does not come across as a Hausa or Fulani guy... Because these guys don't boast based on what they have, but what they can achieve. This is why you don't see northern states measuring d*ck with our southern brothers. They know what they have and what they what to achieve and how to achieve them. To them, boasting is giving out vital information to their enemies... That is why you still see them claim poor even after the enormous wealth they have shifted to their region... They attract the highest foreign donation to their regions but still feign poor... But my southern brothers will form sophisticated and rich while continue suffering. So op. Criticism is not an insult but an avenue to seek redress or correction where necessary
