They are not working because of low patronage, most ships berth in Lagos ports .They should be talking to the NPA to divert more ships there and reduce the freight cost to encourage people to use them not building new ones that will still go through the same issue as the ones before.

Is just like building a 4 flat building in the middle of a slum with nobody to afford the rent and the landlord is still trying to build more flats even when the ones he built have not been occupied.

There in lies our problem and politics

When we keep piling up cargoes in Lagos , even when such is meant for other states, the ports outside Lagos will keep been decaying.

Nigerian custom keeps generating revenues above target out of share suffering and frustrating circumstances of importers due to uncleared cargoes and attendant demurrage

My friend you Don, t know d economic importance of building a seaport in bayelsa.this will open up investment influx to bayelsa and also help build their igr. We have oil companies operating in bayelsa that bring their material for drilling and completion but Berth in neighbouring state in which dey are been taxed. This money don't come to bayelsa state it goes to that state and bayelsa government loses out. It either u know dis things or ur just been economical with the truth. Anything that can boast igr and also create jobs is a welcome development to the state.

Be reasonable, building Seaport in every SS state is not sustainable, some of them will definitely experience low or no patronage. Baylesa can always use the Seaport in its neighbouring states like PH port, Onne port and Warri port. Edo also can also use the one in Warri.

Edo and Baylesa building their own will most likely amount to waste of resources that can be channelled into something else.

The authority should reduce The landing cost in other sea port in order to encourage them but fg is making it difficult for order ports to work especially the ones in ss /se
