If you have an ad Ctr of about 4% monthly then you are doing well. It depends largely on the volume of traffic that visits your blogs and the categories of ads been displayed. The positioning of your ads is also a factor to consider. Left or right sidebars - which one improves impressions and click through rate? All these could be tested and measured.
