I have been quietly following the trend and news that have overtaken the cyberspace and airwaves since the president's son Yusuf was involved in a bike accident. He was not hit or anything, he just had an accident and the reason for the accident is yet to be revealed. I thank God nobody caused his accident, at least no family will have to live in fear of a reprisal attack yet.

The only reason why I feel for Yusuf is because he's a young man like me with his own dreams and aspirations. At least for now, we have not seen how his dream will affect the life of an 'ordinary citizen.

I am not feeling for Yusuf because he's the President's son. His life is worth as much as the lives of those who have died due to his dad's actions and inactions. His life is same with those who terrorists in the form of herdsmen have attacked and maimed and his father did nothing about it.

Yusuf's life is not more precious than the life of a Nigerian youth who genuinely struggles under the sun to make ends meet; a youth who suffers because of the negligence and wickedness of Nigerian politicians.

I wish Yusuf quick recovery but I charge him to live the remainder of his days being an opposite of what his father has not proven not to be; a man who never forgives, a man who bears hatred in his heart, an unproductive man who is incapable of multiplying wealth, a man who knows all shades of tribalism, dichotomy, ethnic jingoism and ruthless aggression.

But I can guarantee whoever cares to listen that if Buhari will start to be empathetic to the plights of those in Southern Kaduna, Adamawa, Chibok, and all other places he has deliberately turned a blind eye against, not only will Yusuf heal, but his scars will not be found.

I don't see anything special in this Yusuf guy so I don't give 2 shits if he lives or dies. So many folks die everyday. I know how many people I lost this year. so why should I give a damn if Buhari son lives or dies??

Obviously if he wasn't the son of the president, he'd have just had his accident and died in piece and no one on Nairaland would know.

I have also been following the news and I think some people are just stupid and bereft of common sense. The fact that you have money to live well doesnt mean it is the case with every Nigerian. It is morally wrong to wish him death but I will NOT chastise anyone who does because we dont know what they're going through as a result of the hard times caused by buhari's government. Some people talk out of aggression and anyone could do same if in their shoes. So all the holier-than-thou's cursing out others for wishing him death should make use of their brains. No one is stopping you from wishing him well or fasting for his recovery, let others do what pleases them. Or you think it is only the ones that write it on the internet that wish him bad, I'm pretty sure 98% of victims of buhari-induced hard times do NOT wish him well. Truth is bitter but it is what it is.

evidently op you've hit the nail on the source, people request for prayer just because the son of a sitting leader had an accident what of those who had loss lives, Properties parts of the body at the expense of our leader's negligence.

but because a son of a sitting leader had an accident see reaction, if this kind of reaction can be channelled to the Nigerian situation i think things will be better a bit.

He just said the obvious truth.

However, I do not feel for him.
Where did he get the fuel he used for the foolish and unproductive gallivant? His life is not worth more than other Nigerian youths who were sleeping in the filling stations due to his father's action or inaction.

Op deserves 499 lashes of koboko for this misleading caption that he has chosen for his post. After the lashing him,he will need medical attention too for sure. I rushed in here to read a proper "UNTOLD" story but to my utter chagrin and discombombulation I got this sermon to the deaf and hard of hearing! Op,be warned against wasting my scarce data as I will not be as patient a man next time. Having said that: I sign out with my favorite rock 'n' funk soundtrack: Biker Mice From Mars... In the spirit of the story and the season.

In my humble opinion, I think the best Novel in the world is Animal Farm..

It has been long that it was written but what is happening around the world today, if you have read it, You will agree with me that a lot of people were acting up those script / characters in animal farm without even knowing it...

Based on this topic on the president son's Accident, there's a quote that says " All Animals are equal but some are more equal than the others....."

All I can say is that he invested on a bike N56M shocked shocked shocked

So let it do the prayers!

He sent Nigerian Army to murder alot of people in South East all in the name of python dance undecided

Amongst these people are only sons, child etc

What about the pain the Chibok girl's parents went through Shock has taken some away. Some will never see their daughters again, daughters will never see their t
Parents again

How is yusuf different
.

Families burnt alive during election

Who has sympathised or praying for these people whose families are in constant agony

I used to pray for God's direction on our leaders

But I have lost all empathy for them especially our politicians since they know what to do and have refused to do them

The tears of the masses will not give them rest!
