This stupid Taofik Gani Lagos PDP guy said far more than this in 2015 (when they fielded their joking clown, Jimi Agbaje) and they failed woefully! Ambode flogged Jimi Agbaje like a Senior Prefect flogs an errant junior in school! They've been saying this in Lagos since 1999 and they have failed!

Does this clown think Lagos residents in Iyana-Ipaja, Epe, Badagry, Egbeda, etc, highly populated parts of Lagos, who are seeing wonderful progress in their communities will vote PDP?

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said on Tuesday it would capture Lagos in the 2019 governorship election.

The PDP Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr Taofeek Gani made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.

“We will shock the All Progressives Congress (APC) by winning the governorship election in Lagos in 2019,’’ Gani said.



According to him, 2019 will be the beginning of the end of the APC-led government in the state.

Gani said the party had mapped out strategies to unseat the ruling party, adding “with the new spirit in PDP in Lagos, we are sure of winning in 2019’’.

He described the performance of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode as “dismal’’, claiming that “Lagosians are eagerly waiting for the PDP to take over and deliver purposeful leadership’’.


The party’s spokesman added: “We will shock the APC in 2019, take my words, we already have lots of novel ideas to wrestle them from power.

“For now, we will keep our strategies sealed, when the game starts, we will unleash them.

“Ambode has failed in purposeful governance, what we see is propaganda and project planet, the people desire change, which is PDP.”

According to him, the party has successfully resolved its internal crisis and is working assiduously to ensure a successful primary in the state.



Gani described recent media report on the defection of 1500 PDP members to the APC in the state as mere propaganda.

“It is laughable to hear that 1500 PDP members decamped to APC in Oshodi, this is outrageous propaganda.

“I am from Oshodi-Isolo, the area remains the strongest nest of PDP, we won all elective offices in the 2015 general elections, in spite the presence of the APC state chairman in the area,’’ he said.

Back to the topic, I agree with you about your view of Tinubu and his puppet governors, but I was just being realistic because of some internal "harmonization and healing" PDP has to do in Lagos to deal with the present in house polarization.You know the Modu Sherrif fiasco did more harm than good to the Lagos PDP family,also the preceding conditions that led to the impressive showing of Jimi Agbaje for PDP in the last governorship election are no longer there now,for instance PDP is not in charge at the centre so no direct or indirect financial assistance from there, 90% of the non APC grass roots mobilizers (especially from Amuwo Odofin,Festac, Akuwonjo ,etc )that worked for the success of their members into the LAHA and also rooted for GEJ/Agbaje have been lured into the APC
Crowd pullers such as Aeroland have their eyes set on other ambitions outside Lagos.Its not a hopeless situation,but it will not happen automatically. There will have to be massive grass roots mobilization and funds drive and TIME, say two to three years of aggressive mobisation of members and resources as well as sensitization of the populace
