Nsuk Registration Guideline For New/returning Student | 2017/18 by Infoguyh: 9:55am On Jan 05, 2018
This is to inform the public, particularly students (both New & Old) of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) that the management of the institution has released the registration guidelines for all students of the institution for the 2017/18 Academic Session.
The guidelines are as follows;
REGISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR NEW STUDENTS (FRESHERS)
REGISTRATION PERIOD: The registration period for the fresh students will span for about 2 weeks and some days – Tuesday, January 2, 2018 to Friday, January 19, 2018.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
a. Data Capture
The data capture process will be carried out online on the school’s official portal;
Visit the school portal.
Click on UNDERGRADUATE PORTAL, under NSUK PORTAL tab
Click on “NEW APPLICANT”.
Click on either “UTME” (if you got admission through JAMB) OR “DE” (if you are a direct entry student).
You will then be required to verify your Admission using your UTME/DE Number and filling the necessary details as may be required.
Be sure to provide valid email address and phone number as this will be used for password reset/retrieval when forgotten.
At the point of submission, you will have an “APPLICANT ID” attached to you.

Note: Returning students are however to login by selecting UNDERGRADUATE PORTAL on the NSUK PORTAL TAB, and select “STUDENT LOGIN”.

b. ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT:
Visit the school portal.
Click on UNDERGRADUATE PORTAL, under NSUK PORTAL tab
Click on “APPLICANT LOGIN”.
Enter your email address and password (the one specified while creating account) in the spaces provided.
Click on ACCEPT ADMISSION, you will be required to pay a total of ₦10,300.
You can pay with e-card (MasterCard OR Visa Card) OR at any of the following Bank branches Nationwide (Diamond, EcoBank, UBA, Keystone, Skye, Unity, FCMB, Zenith, First Bank).
NOTE: After payment is made, you will be required to go back to the school portal to print your ADMISSION LETTER and SCREENING FORM.

c. RESULT VERIFICATION:
Proceed to the Academic Office with the screening form and your credentials for certificate verification.

d. DEPARTMENTAL SCREENING/FACULTY SCREENING:
Proceed to the Head of Department and Faculty Officer for screening using the verified results.

e. FINAL CLEARANCE:
A compiled list is sent to Academic Office where you are “CLEARED” to pay School Fees.

Note: if you are changing course do not proceed for this final clearance. Once you are cleared and School Fees paid, you can no longer Change Course for this session.

f. CHANGE OF COURSE/PROGRAMME
Candidates who wish to change course, make sure you do not pay school fees. In your Applicant Portal, make a request for change of course, pay the required fees and on successful payment, download the change of course form and take it for signing. Once this is approved by the registrar, you will be changed accordingly by the Academic Office and you can reprint a new Admission Letter and Screening Form for the New Programme and you repeat step “d”, and “e” again.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES
Visit the school portal.
Click on UNDERGRADUATE PORTAL, under NSUK PORTAL tab
Click on “APPLICANT LOGIN”.
Enter your email address and password (the one specified while creating account) in the spaces provided.
Click on PAY SCHOOL FEES.
You can pay with e-card (MasterCard OR Visa Card) OR at any of the following Bank branches Nationwide (Diamond, EcoBank, UBA, Keystone, Skye, Unity, FCMB, Zenith, First Bank).

Upon successful payment, your unique MATRICULATION NUMBER as well as an OTP (One Time Password) will be automatically generated for you.
Copy the OTP (One Time Password).

NOTE: You will be expected to pay additional fees of Portal Access and Internet Charges of ₦5,000 alongside the Transaction fees

PROFILE UPDATE AND COURSE FORM REGISTRATION
Visit the school portal.
Click on UNDERGRADUATE PORTAL, under NSUK PORTAL tab.
Click on “STUDENT LOGIN”.
Enter your MATRICULATION NUMBER and PASSWORD (your password is the OTP and you will be required to change it).
Click on MY PROFILE to update your profile.
Click on MY COURSE REGISTRATION tab and select CURRENT SESSION COURSE REGISTRATION to register courses.
After Registering the courses, print out four (4) Original copies (colored) as you will be expected to present them to the Department/Faculty for signing
You can download your Student Information Form (SIF) on the MY DOWNLOADS tab.

LATE REGISTRATION:
The last is scheduled to commence on January 22, 2018 and end on January 26, 2018. Students (Old & New) who could not carry out their registration during the previously scheduled (Tuesday, January 2, 2018 to Friday, January 19, 2018) period will be expected to pay a fine of ₦5,000.

N/B: The Portal will be closed by mid night of 26th January, 2018 and students who have not completed their registration within the allotted period will be deemed to have forfeited the Academic Session.
