A gallant police officer identified as Oluwa Oscar Lam, has revealed how proud he is to be working in the Nigerian Police Force. The policeman who lives and works in Lagos - took to Facebook to share the below words as he compared himself with an "ordinary" civilian. Read below;

I am a proud POLICE OFFICER

They Have University, We Have Training College.

They Have Vice Chancellor, We Have Commandant.

They Have Lecturers, We Have Instructors.

Their Day Starts by 0700hrs, but Ours by 0400hrs.

They Wake up 0600hrs, We Jump up 0300hrs.

They Shake Hands, We Salute.

They Wear Gucci, We Wear Carmo/Khaki.

They Keep Their Hairs, We Cut Off Our Hairs.

They Wake Up, We Jump Up.

They walk, We Double In Divisions.

They Have Students, We Have Cadets/Recruits.

They Have Dining Halls, We Have Mess.

They Go On Break, We Go On Pass.

They Have Conference Hall, We Have Parade Ground.

To Them Nigeria Flag Stays up For 24/7, To Us We Have Colour And Sunset.

They Have Graduation Party, We Have Passing Out Parade.

They Get Short Term Light Drills Only In Their NYSC, Whilst Rigorous Drills Is Our Everyday Blood Tonic.

They Demand For Respect, We Command Respect.

I took this job knowing I may never get rich,

I've missed out so many holidays, church services and special occasions in order to protect lives,

I'm expected to work miracles and do things other people are scared to do and even save lives.

It has been proven that my life expectancy is shorter than yours because of the stress I go through and the sickness I get exposed to, and yet there are no hero movies about us.

I must give my life everyday for people I dont know, have never met before and even those who dont like me.

When my family is home suffering alone I'm out here in the cold, dangerous situations all in the name of protecting property and saving life.

This is an educated police officer,he's polished and may go far in his profession.But Officer,no dey complain.Many people dey try enter Police Force,yet no way.Don't forget that nobody forced you to join Police Force,na you even bribe ur way to become a policeman.

You say you're proud of being a police officer but you are not satisfied with your salary.

Instead of raising hell with government for better salary package, you police pricks turn to extorting poor citizens, as though the poor are responsible for your low salary.

You kill the poor taxi driver because you cannot collect N100 from him. You want to send your children to private school and you want to build an expensive house not from your salary but by terrorizing the poor on Nigerian roads and stealing from them. The Nigeria police force is a disgraceful criminal organization.

When you people stop killing poor Nigerians because of N100 that is when you earn my respect. Otherwise, you are worst than the boko boys and the Haram herdsmen.

You can say what you want on social media but Police officers in Nigeria are a disgrace!

They are not strong enough for that. Remember the former IGP said boko Haram had killed 90, 000 (yes, 90 thousand) police officers. If they go to sambisa, boko haram will slaughter more of them.

Let's be honest with ourselves: our police officers are only strong when they are dealing with unarmed civilians. If you arm yourself and challenge them every thing about their fake gallantry comes crashing down.

The boko boys know this and it is how they succeeded in burning down every police station in borno state, except the state headquarters in maiduguri. This is also why the boko boys attack military barracks now because they know that the corrupt generals at the top stole all the monies meant for buying bullets and that those monies are buried in soakaway pits somewhere in abuja.
