PapaBrowne:Ambode plan helps Fashola so why would scuttle it? Taking Lagos of the National grid means Lagos allocation goes somewhere else and Fashola would become a hero to the people who get it. |

PrecisionFx: Lagos state is no building or paying for Dangote's power plant, this is Dangote's financed project and also part of his refinery project, not Lagos state's. How much is $2 billion loan in terms of Lagos state's massive N41 billion/month and ever increasing IGR with the best credit ratings in Nigeria? |

PrecisionFx: Familiarize yourself with Nigeria's constitution regarding power generation and transmission, that should answer your question. |

Tecno66: The way this deal was handled, I don't think Dangote and the folks involved are fully committed or interested in the project because it's far far removed from his core business interests.. I won't even be surprised if Fashola's move was actually prompted by Dangote himself. |

idealogical: Lagos IGR publicly available online for the whole of 2016 is 300 billion naira and that is 25 billion a month n not 41 billion dollars. 2 billion Dollars is a very huge amount for Lagos to raise, that's why they are in debt. 2 Billion Dollars translates to 720 billion naira @ 360 naira per dollar. 2 Likes |

PrecisionFx: Lagos declares N436 billion internally generated revenue In April 2017, it was N436 billion = N36 billion/month
N503.7 billion ÷ by 12 = N41 billion. You are not current and you are factually wrong, Lagos state today rakes in N41 billion per month and I see it getting up to N80-N100 billion/ month before the end of this year. Lagos Debt Profile Hits N603.25 Billion, Highest In Nigeria Talking about debt, Lagos state's total debt is N603 billion, not the amount you quoted.
Lagos state is in the best financial shape ever since they generate almost the same amount they owe every year and they have a dedicated account they sink money into to pay off their debt with. The folks managing Lagos state are smart and intelligent people and they know what they are doing. Paying debt is the least of their concern in Lagos state. We are talking about the 5th or even the 3rd largest economy in Africa. |

Yoruba people sabi boast like no man's business, common stop there. Stop forecasting numbers that u clearly don't have my form of explanation for. And pls 500 billion naira isn't almost 600 billion naira, U cant approximate 100 billion naira. Lagos is still in huge debt n obviously need to wipe it out before they can borrow any substantial amount of dollars. |

[s] PrecisionFx:[/s] First admit that you lied, that you presented old 2016 figures while deceptively skipping 2017 and current figures, that I corrected and countered you with current and valid facts with verifiable reports and links that says Lagos state generates N41 billion every month and that and not the bogus figure you posted. Admit your errors first before dabbling into other bogus and flawed rants and to further educate you, credi agencies determine and dictates creditworthiness based on your ability to manage your credit facilities, how you payback and ability to generate personal funds needed to service your debt, not you or your layman understanding of credit facilities and worthiness. Stick to facts and sound knowledge because you are embarrassing yourself with bogus facts and layman and ignorant utterances. 1 Like |
