Staff of Federal University Lokoja have today 16/01/2018 staged a peaceful protest against their VC for maladministration. Led by the ASUU chairperson Dr. Anselm O. Ayem, the protesting lecturers carried placards with various inscriptions like "Lead or Leave", This Administration is Inhumane", We are tired of Divide and Rule", Monkey de work, Baboon de chop" etc . The VC, Prof. Angela Freeman Miri was however not on hand to address the protesters as she flees her office while the protests last. The DVc, Registrar, Librarian and the University Chief security officer addressed the lecturers and promised to look into the issues raised. In his interview With journalists, ASUU chair, Dr Anselm Oyem lamented at how Prof. Miri treated staff welfare with reckless abandon and vowed to help in ensuring probity in the administration of the new university
