Six persons have been killed by suspected herdsmen in a set of renewed attacks on communities in Logo, Guma and Okpokwu Local Government Areas of Benue State.

Governor Samuel Ortom confirmed the attacks on Wednesday at the Government House in Makurdi, the state capital.

He made the disclosure when he received a former military administrator of the state, Brigadier General Dominic Oneya (rtd), who led a delegation on a condolence visit to the governor.

Governor Ortom said two women were reported killed in Guma LGA and two persons in Logo, stressing that pockets of killings were still going on.

He further reiterated his call on security agencies to arrest the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore whom he alleged were still issuing threats of resisting implementation of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law in the state.

Buhari has said Benue people should "accommodate their fellow countrymen(Fulani herdsmen)".
I guess Benuians are just doing that and would be awarded the medal of most accommodating Nigerians 2018 by the FG.

to be honest, it is time to call out the president on this carnage. This is beyond the voices of the average humans. Everyone should be called out to use their office to project this massacre to the world. We have ministers and we have celebrities with star powers. One thing I have found out is that CNN is not giving us coverage. For all the killings and protests in the east CNN didn't cover that story. BBC as well refused to cover stories like this to the world so that they can have a perfect picture of how innocent humans are butchered and raped in this country.

This is the time for celebrities to use their star power to push these stories to the world. Buhari is well-aware of all the homicides and his interest is in the protection of his cattle rather than the lives of the innocent citizens. The cattle men do not hold any value in our stock exchange. They do not pay taxes. They are not even registered. There has never been an annual report pegging cattle as a sources of revenue to this country. We do not export livestock. It is also time to boycott meat. Every Nigerian should stop purchasing cattle and stifle these murderer of their source of livelihood.

These people do not care because they feel that Christians are the only ones being murdered. Have you ever heard an Imam come out to condemn the heinous crimes committed by his people? They will never come out. They are telling us that the cattle herders are not the herdsmen. So, who are the herdsmen.
