Ahead of the 2019 general elections, pastors of churches have been urged to encourage members of their congregation to register and collect their permanent voters card.

Pastor Esther Martins, President, Advocacy for Developmental Change made this known in a chat with newsmen yesterday in Yenagoa.

Pastor Martins adviced pastors to charge youths to get their permanent voters card that it is time for pastors to be involved politics as it is the only medium to elect credible leaders.

She said youths should avoid election violence in the name of making money or sharing in the national cake stressing that it makes one's dream to appear unfulfilled.

In her words 'so as youths we should be able to be self reliance and always do the right  thing to better their lives'.

 She called upon members of the public who have not been registered should go and register and get their permanent Voters card (PVC) so in 2019 we can elect our choice as leaders. 

The woman of God said Advocacy for Developmental Change organization is a Non Governmental Organization set up for re-orientation of the youths both male and female.

Pastor Martins explained that youths need to change their negative mind by putting their hands on something meaningful and not resort to violence and criminality.

'We want to change the mentality of "I am loyal sir or Oga your boy dey oooh find us something', she explains.

She  added that a lot of youths have lost their mind of not making it in life, they depend on the so called big men to climb and after climbing they forget about them
