HOW INEC DEPRIVED ENUGU STATE NYSC CORPS MEMBERS OF THEIR PAY AFTER NOVEMBER 2017 ANAMBRA STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION

It is quite unfortunate that no individual or organization can be trusted in Nigeria anymore as corruption has eaten deep to the smallest cell of Nigerians. This is in the light of Anambra state gubernatorial election held on 18th November, 2017. The lacklustre NYSC (Enugu state) in collaboration with INEC deceived serving corps members to risking their lives and join force to conduct the election in ANAMBRA, all in the name of paying them the sum of ₦20,000. Even a day old baby knows that the sum of ₦19,800 being paid as monthly allowance to corps members is no amount especially with the present state of Nigeria’s economy. These innocent corps members got encouraged, participated in the election and was expecting their pay after the exercise.
And there comes the long wait for payment by the concerned corps members. However, hope came when some (NOT ALL) of these corps members received credit alerts of ₦13,500 from INEC and the unpaid corps members kept their hopes alive and were waiting. Subsequently, batches of payment (₦13,500) followed and the numbers of the paid corps members add up. Yet, some corps members didn’t receive any payment till date (19th January, 2018) despite submitting their information and account details to INEC.

Here comes the BIG QUESTIONS:
What happened to the ₦20,000 agreed on?

Why are some corps members especially in Enugu South, East & North yet to be paid despite their account details forwarded to INEC?

We learnt that the unpaid corps members’ account numbers were replaced with some unknown account numbers ; who did that and WHY?

INEC had the detailed information of corps members BEFORE and AFTER the election exercise to checkmate those that were absent; why haven’t they shown any credibility by checking any change in information provided concerning the account numbers as well as following it up?

What will be the fate of these innocent corps members that are serving their fatherland, will this be good impression or bad ones?

When will these corps members be paid fully?
