SOLUTION :2*3-5=1 16*3-5=43 27*3-5=76 40*3-5=115 . Those are the workings for the example. Use the same principle to solve the problem

It's primary 5 stuff. Give it to our president, if he can single handedly solve it, then let him continue in 2019 unopposed!!

(A x 3) - 5 = answer

For example:

(2 x 3) - 5 = 1
(16 x 3) - 5 = 43
(27 x 3) - 5 = 76
(40 x 3) - 5 = 115

16 * 3 = 48; 48-5 = 43.
27 * 3 = 81; 81-5 = 76.
40 * 3 = 120; 120-5 = 115

For this one, it is a little bit complex but I'll try to explain.
The figure in the middle is obtained by dividing the sum of the figures at the RHS from the sum of figure at the LHS.
For example 1,
9+7 = 15
1+4 = 5.
Therefore, 15/5=3.
In example 2,
8+6 = 14
2+5 = 7.
Therefore 14/7 = 2.

Now let us use this to answer some of the questions.

You're going too far...
Just Multiply the Upper numbers (as digits) with the number in the middle....ie 258 * 2 =516
Apply it to all of it
The others forms will be division.

I know it is correct because, I have come across the question and answer before, though it did not show working/s.

Thanks.
