This is a symptom of more severe illness within your body...especially gastrointestinal infection...Go for medical checks and possibly go for HIV screening...

Op, i really feel for you because i have been there myself. I had this nail fungal as a teenager and it was really embarrassing! I took a medication called fulcin (ici) for a long time but it did not work. You will be surprised what worked for me permanently - acid from cal battery!

Get some acid from car batter, dilute it with just a little bit of water and keep in a container. Every night before bed, get a cotton swab, dip into the liquid and apply all over the finger nail. Do this on a daily basis and in just weeks, the fungal will die, the nails will blacken and fall off and new healthy nails will grow up.

I hope this helps, because thats what worked for me. Good luck.

My sister suffered from it for 5 years. It is called ori mbo and a stubborn tropical fungi. It can defile drug application. The owner of this GSM no. 08052472422 applied a trado solution to the fingernails just once and the disease disapeared while new nails developed. You can try him. Sorry!!

It's a fungi infection, I had it on one of my fingernail then

Met a doctor who prescribed a drug (ketokonazole ) and antibiotics....took the drugs for 3months before it went off

Avoid getting water on your nails

polos:
i had something similar on one of my nails and it was really embarrassing. The solution to this problem were 2 drugs for internal use(nizoral and tinaderm) and one anti-fungal polish-like stuff which you use to coat the nails every evening and morning. the nail was restored back under 2 months
Check these two posts.

Go to people that sell cake ingredients and ask for Apple Cider vinegar.
Every morning put one spoon in one cup of warm water dip your hand in it.
Get cinnamon powder and original honey and mix them together with small quantity of that vinegar.
Take two tablespoons every morning.
By God Graçe it will work.

Well done. Nigerians practicing medicine without a license since before Kunta Kinte.

1. It is not infectious
2. It will not be cured by traditional medicine
3. It is a fungal infection
4.Calcium has nothing to do with 'the causative factor'
5. The OP should see a qualified doctor

Oga. Itaconazole is not the preferred treatment. Stop misleading people.

My friend, shut up!Your believe in western medicine does not negate the fact that trado medicine works.I use both and i knw wherr to draw the line.

My 13 yr old coz had it nov 2017 and by this january a new nail is pushing off the infected ones.

China uses theirs and have longevity ,what happened to ours?Did your colonial masters tell u its dirty?
your 3rd point still supports what i said it is nail fungi and yes, lack of calcium could cause it.

Now,swerve!

You lost me at 'shut up', after that your arguments were meaningless to me.
And my texts tell me nails are composed of keratin not calcium; but hey, what do I know ?
Cheers.

That's my own finger
what cured others may not work for you , I used
anti - rasha (2 weeks ).it got worst
Red close up paste.. No positive change
Dettol..... No positive change
diluted acid..... No positive change
white curtex .......No positive effect
Nail remover, the ones used in removing artificial nails.. still no positive change etc
At last i had to go for hydrolic...... that's actually what worked for me, but in the case of my sister, she only applied anti rasha for 3 days and she was free..
Any medicine you use and you didn't see any positive change in the nail please drop that one else the nails gets worst

Get Tea Tree oil. Add two drops on each finger and allow to permeate until absorbed by the nails. Do this every 3-5 hours each day. Then get Cinnamon oil, Mix with cold pressed Coconut oil (what they call Virgin coconut oil) take a table spoon of the blend twice a day. Pele. Get well.

Looks like chronic onychomycosis to me.

1. Buy some plain white vinegar and make a 50/50 dilution solution of it i.e. 1 part water 1part white vinegar in equal volumes. Dip your fingertips in this solution morning and night for the next one month or so. You can reuse a particular batch of solution for about 4 days after which I recommend you mix up another one.

2. You can also use oral itraconazole but talk with a doctor or pharmacist first regarding dosage ( I epidural rather not give you dosage since I do not have your medical history nor have examined you). Be sure you insist on itraconazole rather than any other antifungal. Long term treatment with ketoconazole and other antifungals impair the functioning of your immune system but itraconazole is better tolerated than most. This is important as you may have to be on the drug for 3 to 5 months.

3. Onychomycosis is difficult to treat and require patience. Keep that in mind when you get frustrated

Best of luck
