Experts Trains 35 NSCDC Officers On Capacity Building

The Muregi Associates has trained 35 Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel on Effective Strategy Management and capacity building programme to enhance security in the state.

The Managing Director/ CEO, Muregi Associates, Dr Hussaini Muhammed said this today during the training workshop for NSCDC officers with the theme "effective strategy management".

Muhammed said Muregi Associates has, over the past nine years, assembled qualified personnel to teach and build capacities in the area of financial services, advisory and effective strategy management that will allow the participants go back to their various units and divisions then train others because "knowledge that is not shared is useless".

"We train personnel, develop structure that would help them to contribute to national security by using modern day technology and we focus on broad information, networking and monitoring of movement. So, we believe in training ourselves which is the key to development," he said.

The Commandant General, Abdullahi Gana Muhammed, ably represented by DCG Hillary Kelechi Gana, said that effective strategy management helps in proper monitoring and assessment and that it is necessary for an organisation to meet up with its set goals and objectives.

He said, "We carefully chose this set of people for this workshop so that after this training, they would get back to their directorate, department and implement, bring the knowledge they have gathered, train others on what they have learnt and it is going to help the agency."

He added that the training is for the national headquarters because, "sometimes, we send this men to other states for one assignment or the other so it's the management they are growing. They will pick up whatever they must have learnt from this training and bring to touch those that are below them."

He commended the organiser of the workshop, saying that it is a welcome development.
