General Guide


Answer questions 1 and 2 appropriately. Note that both questions are compulsory. Ensure, you comply with the following rules while packaging your answers for submission.

1. Answer question 1 in a new word document. Convert the word document to .pdf. The .pdf must be named in the format “firstname_lastname.pdf” all in lower cases.

2. Answer question 2 observing all requirements. Copy your .pdf answer to question 1 into the root folder of question 2. Convert your complete answer to a zipped file. Name your zipped file in the format “firstname_lastname.pdf” all in lower cases.

3. Email your zipped file to infoacemeetme@gmail.com with the subject “Firstname Lastname: 2018 Application Developer”.

4. Zipped file should not exceed 5MB.

5. Your complete answer must be sent on or before 12 mid night on the 26th January, 2018.

Question 1

Write a short essay describing your sojourn as an application developer. In your essay state reason(s) why you chose this career path and why you may consider yourself a good developer. Describe briefly your skills and previous projects. Your write-up should not exceed 500 words.

Question 2

Develop a simple web-based customer support application platform. Your application should conform to the following requirements.

1. It should have a simple login page with User ID “Admin” and Password “Pass”. However, it should be able to support other users.

2. A dashboard upon login that shows total number of tickets pending and those closed.

3. A ticket section that shows existing tickets with functionalities to add, delete, edit and close. Display fields you deem are necessary.

4. Pay attention to functionalities and display.

5. Use MVC frameworks preferably Codeigniter or Laravel

6. Use PHP as your server-side script and HTML, CSS and JQUERY for your front-end

7. Use MySQL for your database
