The Fulani have been defeated twice already firstly by the Igbo in the Sokoto Caliphate|Akagbe debacle. Why these jackasses do not ask themselves why the silly emirates did reach Igbo-Eze or Nsukka? Secondly, though the Yoruba lost considerable acreage to Sokoto Caliphate, yet they were able to stop marauding Sokoto Caliphate thugs somewhere in the present Oyo State through help of .Ndigbo.
that is why I love idiotic pigs of Biafra.
They can fight for others but cannot fight for themselves

Instead of all these chest beating by various ethnic groups in Nigeria which its constant result is bloodletting, why not we break this unholy marriage. I say this because any nation that continues to shed innocent blood will never go unpunished.
dont u get it, they want ur land, the north is arid.they want the fertile lush land without the people in it, we are in a silent war

Take it or not, Fulanis have remained unbeatable; no ethnic group can fight us face to face. Any ethnic group that fights us will learn a bitter lesson,” the leader of the apex Fulani association in the country said.

Just imagine the kind of people I'm sharing a country with Guess these people know that Buhari will not be in power for ever?

When your forbearers were on the run heading southward and in the process forfeiting lands to the Caliphate, Ndigbo were defeating Sokoto Caliphate at any given battle. Yari.ba were living under the rocks until British invited the Sierra Leoneans to assist in brushing up the Yari.ba peeps. grin grin

Why run south wards when your already in the south
Take it Yorubas defeated Fulani
Ilorin was not lost by war rather a self inflicted move by Afonja
If Yorubas are weak their will be an emir in lagos today and it’s not so !
The same Yoruba played a key role in defeating Igbo and can boast of oyo empire
Instead of you to focus on Fulani attacking alll it’s Yoruba issue you carry smh

Igboland was very obscure at that point in history. Oyo or the Benin would have taken it first.

Till date, nobody comes into Igbo land and rest ease. British fought Ndigbo until 1913. The Sokoto Caliphate made many diversionary moves to avoid the tenacious attacks from unseen Igbo attacks which led them astray into Idah and back to Sokoto.

This man must have forgotten the Osogbo war of 1870 & Jalumi war of 1878 in which the Fulani miscreants who thought of themselves as an army were comprehensively defeated and brutally massacred by Ibadan army [just one part of the whole Yoruba army] which stopped their foolish advent into Yoruba lands and put them in the background of the 19th century Yoruba warfare and diplomacy.

This people must have forgotten how Ibadan army went as far as Offa to break the Fulani grip on the town and would have marched on to Ilorin if the ‘Yoruba’ out there who had already found comfort in playing the role of the conquered and 3rd fiddle to the Fulani and Hausa requested for the help.

They will think Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ekiti armies of earlier centuries have changed until they trigger their descendants and willing Yoruba spread across the region to take up arms against them.

If they rely on importing their uncivilizaed band from across West Africa, Yoruba will readily open the border to Yoruba in Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Brazil, Cuba and the Caribbeans.
is it the same army that ran away at the sight of Dahormey women?

Ebullience:
THE National Chairman of Fulbe [Fulani] .

“Igbos claim they descended from Jews but settled in Nigeria. Even Yorubas also claim they came from the Middle East, while Hausa people equally claim to have originated from Abyssinia, the modern Ethiopia,” Bello said.

He claimed that while Yorubas are “asking for a country to be created for them and Igbos are using arms and ammunition to try to secede from Nigeria, Fulanis, in the various places they have dominated for centuries, have never asked to secede from the country.”

After the July 1966 coup, the North wanted to secede. It was the British that convinced them to remain in Nigeria. This is why every Southerner should study history.

If you want us to trade aboriginal claims, Sir, Igbodefender hereby invokes the late Professor Pat Acholonu who did some research in which she announced that Igbos were the first people in the world (Ndi gbo). So, Mr Bello, no one can take Igbo Land from the Igbos.

It is a fact that act of rewriting history is an exclusive domain of the Yoruba people. They are loudmouthed and love to play with conjectures.

Igbo are no where to be found during 13th,14th even 18th century the human skull found by archaeology's at arojukwu in around 906 BC made us knew that there was a set of people living there before the arrived of Igbo people. Igbo gained their antecedent around 19th century. I wonder how they have helped Yoruba in war?

This is the reason we can never have an accurate population census in Nigeria not to talk of free and fair election.

This guys will keep importing FULANi from West Africa and beyond and assimilate them to become Nigerians and they keep claiming superiority over the rest of us.

They think war is about population, and yet India couldn't defeat Pakistan in war.

E go do them like film soon

Only a dumbass Yari.ba person will remotely think that the silly conjectures about Ile Ife and Oyo Empire are slightly real. The ancient seat of Oyo Empire was Oyo Ile, 30 miles north of Ilorin. Majority of what is known as Yoruba today are those who ran southwards during Nupe attacks, rampaging Sokoko Caliphate and the mixed of returnees.

Read Nigerian history with apt attention especially where the emirates began and stopped. Many Yoruba enclaves where under the authority of the emirates. Ask yourself bearers who where the mercenaries that helped to stop the Sokoto Caliphate in Ogbomoso.

If you knew these craps now, it is safe to say you have been in a deep slumber. Didn't the rest of Nigeria ignore the killing of Ndigbo and Biafrans which was orchestrated by Fulani, Hausa and Kanuri to join them in prosecuting a war against Biafrans and Ndigbo. What is in your drinking water that has changed today?
Re: No One Can Defeat Fulani In Nigeria —Bello, Fulani National Leader by Lipscomb(m): 1:41pm On Jan 27, 2018
Yoruba's land never been under Fulani sieges its only Ilorin handed over their land to Fulani because of selfishness of Anfonja who mastermind the war , nupe laid siege on Yoruba land and they met their Waterloo . Yoruba people are courage and brave in war that is why Oyo empire is the most vast empire in Africa if not because of Yoruba inter States war which lasted for 100 years no tribes or ethnic deal confront Yoruba people. The Yoruba interstates war caused us a lot things as a result of this war Oyo empire collapsed and lost prestige, that's why Fulani claimed Ilorin.
DerideGull:

Most things I learnt from living in Yoruba land are that Yoruba can be pretentious, are colorful story tellers and would avoid anybody who is in the know during intellectual exercise. It is a plain fact that Yoruba lands were under the administrative influence of Sokoto Caliphate via emirates. Again no Igbo land has ever been subjected to the administrative authority of Sokoto Caliphate. It is a fact.

That is because the caliphate never headed eastwards, they went westwards.....towards Ilorin and Ibadan. Their forays in that area were well documented! Our teachers taught every student all these facts, in our history classes, long ago! undecided

Unless you can provide references to documented facts about this so-called Akagbe war, then it would be viewed as another fairytale. At least, the Ekumeku war is well-documented, just like the Aba women's riot. So which one is Akagbe war?
