during fashola first tenure. he and timing had better plan for Lagos in terms of power generation.
but they wer constrained by the northerner law maker

the best NDDC can do is to build compact 100 MW. for each industrial zone.

the regulatory approval for anything less than 100MW. does permit it not to added to national grid.

1MW, 100MW, or 1,000 MW?

Good News!
With a project like this the ND is unifying in ways that no jealous group can put a check to.
When built, the ND and FG will be forced to negotiate power transmission terms as the ND won't want their power pumped into the national grid for others to use cheaply. This should force the whole ND(and her close neighbours sw & se) to remain on one side and grow together.

U are dreaming.

Rubbish! A new avenue opened for Apc to loot. A government of archaic and ancient looters which is=LOOTOCRACY!
My sincere admonishment to Pdp dont impose any failed second term Governor or Ex-Governor on the party aka Dakwambo or Markaifi. Let the party members vote and let the vote count. Those who have ears let them hear!

1MW, 100MW, or 1,000 MW?

if you intend building power plants an you don't intend adding it to the national grid the maximum you can generate is 100MW.

anything above that, you are required by law to add it to national grid.

There is nothing wrong, does it make economic sense? Nigeria because of the abundance of wealth at its disposal waste enough resources which is regrettable.

Why not talk about decentralization of power supply and generation than arguing over frivolous issues

You think it does not make economic sense, yet companies like Chevron, Total and Govt etc partnered to send Gas to West African coast? It does not make economic sense and the Russian govt bet virtually all its investment in Gas pipelines almost getting to China? I think you need to reflect

NNDC, Nsima Akere, you people prefer China because they are ready to give you abnormal percentage for shoddy jobs and substandard finishing. The likes of Japan, Germany are there, Nigerian will not patronise them because they stand for quality, truth and wont give bribe, so, they run away from them just because Nigeria is a massive bribe taken nation. While the same preferred China gave their railway construction work to Japan for quality job, Nigeria gave theirs to China that is known for substandard shoddy jobs.

you're too ignorant, where is most of the world produce coming from if not China? the thing is the Chinese company will give you what you want according to the standards you request. Chinese produce for american and European coys based on the standard they request to be made.

The case is different in Nigeria because what we requested of them is substandard so that give us substandard. put your money where your mouth is they say.

a rejoinder to your posit of Japanese building for Chinese ,the logical reply to that is every informed person knows at some point Japan was the regional power in every thing Asia before the Chinese emergence. hence, the Chinese might have contracted them for the job.
