Hunger is a global challenge and at FOODCLIQUE we distribute food to the less privileged.

Our January Community Kitchen Activity which holds every last Saturday of the month at different selected suburbs in Lagos. Where we give food out during our Community Kitchen, there are people who tell us how thankful they are, because they were so close to doing the unexpected just to eat. This program which was launched as part of our activities at FOODCLIQUE in October and it has always been a source of hope to many as they come out in mass monthly to eat from our Pot. Also, Volunteers like me, Donors and Advocates come out to support our fight towards Hunger.

The Community Kitchen was a great way to start off the year and make the world a little brighter for Kids, the Aged ones and many others who were facing hunger. It was held last Saturday 27th January 2018 at Frajend Garage, Osholake Street Ebutte Metta. It was sponsored by Cantagali and Share Your Bread. We hope to get more sponsors and donors all through the rest of the year.

Minwhile a multinational corporation; an oil giant, the biggest in Nigeria cannot feed any of its host community even if its once in a year simply cos its being run & managed by nigerians

Teach their parents how to be a fisher and train the youth to become gainful employed.

Try to applaud people when they are doing something positive in the lives of others. There are many skill acquisition programs out there, some for free sponsored by some government agencies and others by churches. They can go and learn how to fish there. People cannot learn on an empty stomach so giving them something to eat is a welcome idea.

In America we have soup kitchens that cater to feeding the poor and homeless. What have you done to impact humanity other than sit here on Nairaland condemning the little efforts of others?

Food bills are given to citizens in the Western world,
anyway let me tell you a story . . .
Once upon a time, two friends were walking along a very
long sea shore, Suddenly the sea wave threw ashore
hundreds of thousands of live fishes on the bank without
washing them back into the sea.
One of the friends started throwing those fishes back
into the sea, and when his friend saw what he was doing
and asked to stop doing that because no matter what he
does, he can never threw all these fishes back into the
sea.
The friend picked up a fish in front of him and said "it
matters to this one" and he threw it into the sea.
Lesson: Every good deed matters

Hmmm..... I personally thought of that I don't think it will cost once you have the funds or sponsors of ever a major problem I might have is roadies, some politicians bullying you so as to e recognised as part of the kit her for their benefits, stealing of food from staff... Many other factors how ever every good cause has challenges

You make a lot of sense but don't forget America is organised and structured.. Also has a good welfare system though UK welfare is better. Exactly how many skin lacqusiotion pro do we have as you stated?
I applaud their initiative bit I feel it should be chanelled else where.... They should move around as the real homeless Are in different areas. Iam quite sure a lot of those who approached then can afford lunch but we have millions who can't

number over hyped in what sense 200k can feed 1000 people at 200 Naira per head so the number does not look overhyped.I just wish we as a country can do more of these it is not compulsory you feed 10 people at once but 1 or 2 around our homes is ok ,most families waste food that is enough to put a Smile on someone’s face.Think twice before putting that left over sandwich or pizza in the refrigerator that you and I know too well you won’t eat it anymore it will end up in the trash. You can give it to your domestic workers gate man or your needy Neigbourhood friend
