Hi Nairalanders, I drive a Camry 2010 SE trim and I am looking at replacing my spark plugs. So my Mecho bought a SK20HR11 against the SK16HR11 recommended in the owner's manual. Can someone enlighten me about the implication of the difference in the ratings, detailing what each alphabets or group of alphabets in the ratings really mean? Thank you!!! |

Olidawg247: Is your Camry i4 or 6 cylinders. There are different variations in terms of the electrode, lead and the length of spark plugs. The gapping between the electrode and lead is another factor to be considered. Some 0.03 inch- 0.043 inch.you cannot use a long spark plugs in place of a short one. A misfire on all cylinders would prevail. The alphabets there would be specifically related to each factors I have mentioned up there. By the way we have your recommended spark plugs available |

Engine is 2AR-FE , that's a 4Cylinder engine FYI |

Please stick to the recommended spark plugs as stated in the manual. Also, take time out to buy it yourself as the sellers have the original and the fake of every spark plug. |

Olidawg247: Your engine is 2AR-FE 4cylinder engine. The recommended plug is SK16HR11. The SK20HR11 is for 6 cylinder. I will advise you return it fast & look for the recommended spark plug for your car. If you install the SK20HR11, you will have a lot of misfire issues & car will run lean, which will increase fuel consumption. It's apparent ur roady does know the difference. |
