It was the 3rd day and Owen has not had any bowel movements (defecated). I placed a call to the family doctor who said I should not bother bringing him but prescribed some medicine which I quickly bought. All to no avail, going to the fourth day. I was planning a visit to the general hospital when my wife called her mum who made her own suggestion. The boy was really in pains of some sort. He stopped sucking and snorts aloud at interval as if he's breathing his last.
My mother-in-law's suggestion was that we should dab menthol (rob) on cotton bud and administer the menthol with the cotton bud into his anus.
It was like magic! What came out smelt worse than a rotten egg. I with my wife watched with utmost glee, coming cover to watch the substance being exuded and savoring the moment with the best fragrance we ever had. The best smell we ever perceived with thanks to God Almighty.
