In Benue state it was recorded that two police officers and four others have been reportedly killed in a gun battle with suspected herdsmen at Yogbo community in Guma local government area of Benue state. It was gathered that many houses and farm produce were set ablaze while residents of the community took to their heels for fear of the attack. The Commissioner of Police in Benue State confirmed the commencement of the counter-terrorism operation. He said, his main vision is to flush out herdsmen who are reportedly armed and perpetrating violent attacks in the state.
