I can't but laugh hard. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Why did you bring Ostrich to nairaland? Anyway, someone may contact you.

In 2014, I was in a meeting with a group of brains when Ostrich was brought up, and we eventually visited a farm which belonged to a general in the Nigerian army. Even I was told the eggs are used for a kind of vaccine and was so desirable in Europe at the time (a particular breed). The manager on the farm asked us to keep our keys well. Was told they swallow zinc anyhow. Cannot confirm if it is true till date.

Another cool cash venture is crocodile. These are areas meant for those who know about it.

To mainain Ostrich is so expensive. If you want to make your birds happy, you need to give them space to run. So, you can imagine having a bird which can run 70km/hr. grin And you must fence it round.

But to say a young pair is N650,000 is what I fear too. One needs to check market first. But what I know is that it is a multi- million business if you know about it. Not for just anybody. And I have not heard anyone advertise Ostrich like this. On nairaland? A beg, carry am go where people who know its worth are before your venture is mouthed down. But really, the way you sef dey do "shakara" is damn funny. OP, you wicked. And you are doing it so confidently. I cannot but laugh again. Even you got the attention of the big boss of nairaland. grin

Very lucrative business if you know the A to Z of it. Same with crocodile rearing. But are you kidding me? Make me keep crocodile near me? grin

Make a laugh again jare... grin grin grin grin grin

Yes, Ostriches hardly lay eggs during rainy seasons. By November, our prices will drop to N300-N400/pair.

We sell our fertile eggs for as low as N10,000 each sometimes. It all depends on season and availability
