Which should be more important to us?.Should we not celebrate 1914 as some sort of National day at par if not greater than 1st. Oct.1960? Technicaly,we were born in 1914, but became independent to plot our destiny in 1960. Shouldn't we be, hold on, 1, 2, 3, 4, 93years old?!!! After all we knew and lived beside each other long before 1960.

Yes, 1914 should be remembered as the year Lord Lugard formed what is today known as Nigeria. Do you think it is a regrettable thing or a bad thing by Lugard almagamating the north and the south together to form Nigeria??

1914 should be declared a national disaster year! That was the year the doom of southern Nigeria was sealed when she was erroneously bundled with Nigeriens and Chadians!

@all the above. Hmmm. o.k let me digress a bit. What would be your ideal Nigeria(political,Millitary,Econmic, blah.blah, blah?.What is it that you want to see that will not make A.D 1914 and A.D 1960 such a bad date for us all.

drag-on you can continue to drag on this question but u'll never get the answer you want to force down on the responders. u still dont get it. there is nothing good about those dates in nigerian history. they are dates when we were doomed. the horror is still there nearly 100yrs/50yrs later respectively.
