Being A Communique Released At The End Of The Peaceful Demostration In Effect To The Prolonged Jac (Nasu, Ssanu & Naat) Industrial Action Held At The Federal Ministry Of Education

EDUCATION IS A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILEGE!!!


The above named association is the premier decision making body for students studying in institutions of higher learning from university cadre with over twenty (20) million members both in Nigeria and in diaspora, fully dedicated to the mainstreaming of students and young leaders in governance at all levels with the core interest of protecting the dignity and integrity of the students and uniting the students for academic excellence.

The leadership of the association organized the peaceful protest due to the prolonged industrial Action embarked by the joint Action Committee (JAC) of NASU, SSANU&NAAT with the sole demand of the both parties Federal Government and the union to put an end to the industrial Action.
At the end of the protest the following are our demands
1. The Federal Government and the unions should resolve the strike action. The leadership of NAUS will not relent on it efforts until the strike is called of.
2. The extortion by JAMB should stop all kinds of extortion of Nigeria Students in the name of Regularization, Correction of Data, Change of Course/Institution among others.
3. The Federal Government should put more commitment to the reformation of Nigeria Educational system.
Finally, the leadership of NAUS Remain committed to the good policies of the government at all levels. We also seek the cooperation of all State Governors in addressing all problems of State own Universities. And to all Nigeria University Students the leadership of NAUS call on them to be at alart and a law abiding citizens.
