Before I begin I'd like to First state the following

1. I'm not a Christian, I'm a believer in Christ JESUS, the distinction may be easy to miss I promise you they're not the same.

2. I'm not a church goer it doesn't make me headed for hell.

At certain intervals and over protracted periods I shied away from church even as I type this I won't be in Church as it has 'failed' in it's role in the Nigerian society.

it's slightly off topic but I'll talk a little about it. A pastor many years ago addressing the State of the country (which hasn't changed) asked a question ... Majority of the people in the service/public sector are Christians yet why is the service sector the way it is? Note that a fully functional service sector is key to driving a countries growth

Back to the issue at hand, I haven't read any of Freeze's discuss or comments that followed just headlines and hear says. I was 'raised up' in a strong 'Pentecostal setting' where the Pastor was a Demi god, not to be questioned or analyzed with scriptures to back the theory on, was dutiful in paying tithes and sowing seeds, praying and service. Had my personal prayer time and had a passion for GOD's WORD.

If you're expecting and Christian to Atheist story you're on the wrong thread, this is how I broke the 'Shackles' and studied THE WORD for myself, living not just by what I heard but studying for myself and having the total experience of loving GOD and embracing HIS LOVE

Recently Omotola joined Freeze and called it freedom from mental slavery, over 80 comments in a popular blog most of them rebuffs I believe nonetheless I got what she's trying to say.

In rounding up I've been distressed on how much Influence and Wealth the church has and how much penury, suffering etc their members and the country is experiencing and looking at the Early Church it was not So. Something is amis

Mind you beware of all advanced fee frauds championed by certain pastor's involving government officials and others to seem genuine its truly a scam.

There's that possibility as I am yet to read what he really wrote, I wanted to get people to Search the Scriptures themselves ....
