Iceland have requested for 66, 000 tickets for their fans to cheer their football team as they make their World Cup debut in Russia. Nigeria will play Iceland at the Volgograd Arena on the 22nd of June, in their second group D fixture for the World Cup. Iceland supporters will be bringing their ‘Viking clap’ to the showpiece in the Russia and there’ll be plenty of presence. Incredibly, the population of Iceland is 330,000 but they requested a whopping 66,000 tickets for their first ever World Cup appearance, where they will come up against Argentina, Nigeria and Croatia in Group D.
