[s]President Muhammadu Buhari has taken a swipe at the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying that the party squandered $500 billion oil earnings in 16 years.

While speaking at the opening of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Caucus meeting, at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, on Monday, Mr Buhari disclosed that he took over at a time Nigeria was fast heading for collapse.



“It is easy to forget the fuel subsidy fraud, arms fund diversion, depleted excess crude account savings, depleted foreign reserves, massive unpaid debts to contractors and suppliers amidst failure to invest or even maintain our infrastructure namely railways, roads, electricity, in spite of having earned over $500 billion from oil and gas alone, during the 16 years of PDP rule,” he said.

Please our dear Mr. President, we already know these things that's why you were voted in and Jonathan voted out.
may we humbly remind you that you won the election and you are no more campaigning. Please get to work immediately and do the things for which you were voted in, may we also remind you that we are aware of the massive looting happening under ur "saint" administration and some of the looters in PDP who ran to APC have suddenly become saints, the likes of Orji Uzor Kalu and are already running political errands for your saintly administration.
Mr. President sir, governance and government is a serious business, sometimes Nigerians wonder how you have time for all these media brouhaha when there are serious National issues begging for your attention.

PDP had 16yrs, before pple realised they had nothing to offer! Compare d progress in infrastructure, agriculture, tax recovery, govt spending, within d past 3yrs of apc, with that of PDP!

Please for the sakes of our great nation Nigeria, you people termed bmc should stop fooling around.
So we should also wait for this govt. to wreck this country for 16 years before we realise they have nothing to offer. The progress made is only on the pages of newspaper because the reality on ground speaks differently. People have been turned to poverty property, about seven million people lost their jobs, companies folded up, dollar rose astronomically, petrol is scarce even with the high price, is that your definition of progress?
Which nonsense infrastructure are you talking about, go round the nation and see the terrible state of our federal roads.
The tax recovery, TSA, recovery of looted funds, cuts in govt. spending, yet we are borrowing heavily and selling bonds every now and then, to add salt to injury, the infrastructure on ground does not commiserate the funds dispatched.
Please for your sakes and for the sakes of generations yet unborn, stop defending the indefensible.

This is very true, Sir. But let us move beyond what was stolen. While trying to recover the loots and fight corruption, let us reduce the cost of governance. Corruption is fighting back and having the upper hand. Let us change strategy.

How heavily are we borrowing? U expect infrastructures, to be developed overnite? After several years of waste? Can u, in good conscience, deny d success of d diversification of d economy? Can u truthfully, describe how d buffoon n his coordinating minister, planned to cushion d effects of d oil price crash successfully?

In d time of plenty, our reserves was falling! We were still borrowing, not to build infrastructures, but to pay salaries!
