White rice

This starchy food is a processed form of the grain that has been mostly stripped of its fibrous and protein-rich parts. It can be found in so many different dishes from across the globe that it may appear difficult to evade. White rice should only be consumed in modest portion and it should be combined with other foods that help to reduce the effects of simple carbohydrate on blood glucose.

Note that wild rice and brown rice are higher in fiber, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels, and contains several valuable nutrients that should be a part of a balanced diet. This can be a great alternative to white rice.
Pasta
Pasta contains refined carbohydrates and low protein and fat that causes blood sugars to increase off the charts. You don’t have to totally eliminate pasta to maintain healthy blood sugars, but you can avoid eating large amounts of pasta at once. Instead make it just a small course of a larger meal. Stick to a serving about the size of a closed fist and round out the meal with high-protein pairings like organic, grass-fed ground beef, ground turkey, or chicken and add a large serving of high-fiber, low-starchy vegetables like green salad or roasted broccoli. This combination can help alleviate some of the ill effects of high carbohydrates on your blood sugars.

Eating candies regularly as a snack can be harmful to a diabetes management plan. When you have sugar cravings, try eating a piece of high-fiber fruit like berries, apple slices, or pears.
