arinze198: There is no traditional ruler of Igbos in Lagos or any other State outside the 5 Igbo states. Journalists should be very very careful with the rubbish they write. The next time I read such rubbish, I will personally pick up all Igbos in Lagos like Fashola did but instead of dumping them at Upper Iweka at 2a.m., I will rather dump them in Lagos Lagoon after whipping their bombom like the fake Eze of Akure who was seriously flogged. 1 Like |

Mynd44: Which is the part I don't understand. Again, the nomination might have been sarcastic and they expected the Mrs. to know they did not approve of her dressing. Our parents do it all the time with 'Oya put it on my head', 'come and eat my hand' etc. I am sure only a foolish child would literally do those things. Afterall, nobody seemed to care till it was time to pray and I doubt it was at prayer time that it dawned on them that she was wearing trousers. She should have stopped praying immediately they told her to. They nominated her and decided to withdraw it. Praying wasn't her right or duty. 2 Likes |

It's Always good to take a stand against civilisations going against our tradition and That's exactly what our igbo elders have done. Kudos to them. 2 Likes |

I’m just saying. Were trousers around in the days of our traditional forefathers in the first place, hm? Did men wear trousers in 1808? 1 Like |

wearing trousers or not isn't the issue, she is human also but caught my attention was the fact that, she was told to stop but still she insisted to go through with it, if it were a man he would jejely stop even if what he's accused of doesn't make sense. |

Hmmm......igbo kwenu! Since the reason they cited was igbo culture and tradition, I hope the prayers she was stopped from saying were to Amadioha and not the white man's god. 3 Likes |

olasaad: In the north, do you think the only reaction from the men would be to just turn their back or walk off? Their was a thread/news off a former FCT minister using the police and army to assault women who wear trousers and other clothing’s to offices. He did all that and got lots of praises. Where I’m from, such wouldn’t happen but common sense applies. 3 Likes |
