Where is Dora Akunyili? Ever since her re-appointment as MOI, she has hardly said or done anything. Has she been muzzled or what. Of what use is she then. Questions are being asked and answers must be proffered. |

The Chief Press Secretary to Government, Ima Niboro should be the spokesman of Government. In the past and historically we have confused the role of Information Minister and Government spokesman. I hope this current Government has come to this realization. |

mikeansy: It is not confusion, rather added responsibility for the Minister of Information. While the Chief Press Secretary speaks for the office of the President and he do not sit in the FEC, the information minister has an added responsibility for speaking for the government and sit in the council of ministers. Every country have its own way that it deem fit to govern and dessiminate information. The only problem is, if the information is not dessiminated. |

In a vibrant dispensation, the need for an all portfolio holders will want to take credit for successes within their portfolio or be seen to be actively involved in the burning issues. How does the information ministry impact the lives of the average Nigerian? The position/ ministry is very nebulous and is a waste of tax payers money. In these hard times government needs to be lean and fit for purpose. Dora's talent are being wasted. |
