Blatter slams African nations
FIFA president Sepp Blatter has slammed both Nigeria and Ivory Coast for sacking their coaches so close to the World Cup.


The Super Eagles gave Shaibu Amodu the boot before appointing Lars Lagerback, while the Elephants showed Vahid Halilhodzic the door before bringing in Sven Goran Eriksson.


Blatter is not pleased with the duo's decision to change things at the top with a matter of months to go before the global showpiece and has called for consistency in that area in the future.


Football's head honcho told Daily Independent: "The talent of African players is at least as great as that of players from other countries, including Brazil and the Americas.


"What is missing is tactics. But how can they have this if they change the coach a few months before the start of the biggest competition in the world?


"This continuity is missing because it is so important to feel the soul of the country where you are coaching, and how can you do this in a few months."

Abeg blatter, no waste your spit, they just won't listen.

This Blatter guy will never learn to mind his own business and leave individual teams' business to the people appointed to take care of them.
What's his business with the time we fire our coach??

Let him face the job he was elected to do and not come here to waste our time. . . we have a World Cup to prepare for.

It's not about if he's right or wrong, it's about not interferring with affairs of individual federations.
Would he have complained if France or Spain did the same??

Ok, he shouldn't interfere in the affairs of other nations and he wouldn't have said so were it France or Spain but he's still right

In my opinion, a crap coach should be fired as soon as he's found out, he was found out during the qualifiers . . . but we gave him a chance to prove his worth, and he failed again.
That's when he was fired, better late than never.

Now that's a topic for another thread but Blatter should leave Arsenal, The EPL, Ivory Coast and Nigeria. He always knows how to attack the easy targets.
